UPDATED - I got two calls from Luis the owner who apologized ALL OVER the place and made good BIG TIME. I would like to revise my rating to 5-star service!!) He was VERY professional. You know that ANY business can have a problem from time to time, but it's how you handle it and respond. Luis was stellar and now I would not hesitate to recommend this business.

ORIGINAL POST - I brought a framed piece of artwork into this gallery. I explained that I needed the artwork copied including the fact that it looked aged, like an old newspaper from the 1940s Because that is in fact what the original was. And then I needed the original reframed the way they had originally done and I wanted my copy framed in the same way.

No problem, they said. When I got my project back, my artwork did not look like an aged newspaper from the 1940s. The sepia tone was way off. And I discovered that the price I was quoted to the penny had now gone up nearly $20. When I questioned it, it was explained to me that the original piece of artwork needed to be disassembled, copied and reassembled and they need to charge for that. Of course I understood that. I had explained that to them myself when I brought the original piece of artwork to them in the first place!

I expect that when someone looks at a job and sees what needs to be done, the quote is going to be accurate. This piece of artwork was meant as a present and happily, the recipient was satisfied. But I it was the customer...

I've had all types of artwork framed by these very talented people. Everything from silly saying in pre-made frames to pictures of my Dad, who is now passed. If you are a novice at framing, they are so kind and informative and will guide to the choice that is best for you. No heavy sales pitch. If you are very experienced in selecting frames, the choices are fantastic. They can do it all!! I just found a box of unframed artwork that will be on it's to be framed this week.
