Home Depot Window Installation was a mistake. May 2025 we purchased 17 windows, 1 French door and 2 main doors. Job number F51375378. To be installed by Home Depot. We were told of this in advance, so it was fine. September 29th installation was scheduled. The appointment was scheduled to start at 8am, the three-man team showed up around lunchtime. Not a big deal but it seemed odd not to get a call about it since people must move work schedules around and be available for these things. There were no workers proficient in English which again, not a big deal we were able to use translators to communicate a little but still difficult. We were quoted âabout 3 daysâ They were booking it along. Day three, things got finished around 10pm, this wasnât a big deal but cleaning up was not great. I had a good deal of screws and nails to pick up in the morning. The trim that was removed was going to be put up after the last inspection. After a few days I why the exterior trim wasnât installed. I made a call to find out. I was told that they had to have a final inspection and then they would come out and install this exterior trim. This made sense since its what I was told by the workers but it had been a few days so what was the hold up? at the county building department I looked up my permit and saw that the inspection was scheduled and canceled the last day the workers were here working. The notes said âcannot inspect, work is still in progressâ. That was strange, surely these professional companies would know how the flow should go with the work and the inspections. I looked a little more and saw that even though it had been a week since the last worker was here no new inspection had been scheduled. I called Home Depot to bring it to their attention and get things moving. I figured I just slipped through the crack. Fast forward to today. We are going into week three, the house still has no exterior trim, the rain has come and gone unnecessarily soaking previously protected wood. There has been NO communication from Home Depot or the installers about the status of things. We had an inspector out to do the âfinal inspectionâ his report was succinct. âExterior trim not installedâ. And the inspection failed. At this point I am regretting the $39,000 dollars spent on Home Depot. I called Home Depot in the hope that someone there would be able to step in and get this project wrapped up. We are now on week three of a 3-4-day project. I was left on hold while they searched for the one person in the entire company that could help me. After an hour, I decided that it was long enough. I did my part, I hired them, I picked out the windows and doors, I paid for those windows and doors, and I waited patiently. Now that I have done my part, I am seeing Home Depot was a poor choice for this job, the Home Depot has not done its part. After nearly 4 months waiting, I am again left to wait, all the while bugs, water and the elements in general are left to intrude on my home. My money, over $30k, walked out the door on a promise of a smooth and efficient job completed in just a few days has gone towards this cruel joke. We had two more sets of French doors and one more main door we wanted to replace since the material (the doors and window themselves are gorgeous) was so nice but after this experience with the service, or lack thereof we will go with a local company and not involve Home Depot again. I am beyond disappointed at their poor communication, lack or urgency when the trouble arose and now their seeming inability to correct the issue and get things done. No one has returned a call other than the salesperson who as of today has been notified the sale of these additional doors is no longer happening thanks to this poor experience. We will continue to try and get Home Depot to get it done but at this time I cannot and will not recommend this massive company for this sort of work. I recommend looking local for projects like this and avoiding a big company with ultimately no...

We have been trying to find a company who can stop the rust from staining our sheets, clothing and sinks / toilets. At Home Depot I inquired and found out who they recommend, so we signed up for a meeting.
The company Home Depot is using as one of their installation companies is, Florida Energy Water & Air and our sales person was Jorden. Jorden required both my wife and I to watch every part of the 2-hour presentation and pictures in his note book of dirty water.
Jorden kept telling us all the way through the 2-hour presentation about how all of their equipment that they use and sell has a âLIFETIMEâ warranty.
We finally came to the end of this presentation and he asked us if we wished to purchase their equipment. He started with $12,000 but if we purchased it today, at this meeting he could get the price down to $8,500. I asked to see the warranty and Jorden told me that it would be on the contract and when the inspection team comes, they would provide me with the warranty. So, we proceeded with the purchase contract, he tried to get us qualified for the Home Depot credit which is no payments for 24 months. That came back with only $1,000 not enough to pay the $8,500.
Jorden said he could get us qualified through of their lenders at 5.5% interest. In the meantime, Jorden had filled out the contract so I started to read it, Jorden immediately indicated he had another appointment and didnât have time for me to read the contract. Then this is where the problems started:
According to the contract, âNo Verbal Communication will be Honoredâ!!! -We were promised new piping and electrical wiring to our well (about $1,000) to a different location 3) Jordan suddenly has to leave after spending 2 hours about how GREAT and WONDERFUL this company is
The Best statement Jorden made was: âYou trust Home Depot, we are partnered with Home Depot so trust us!â
BUT HOME DEPOT GIVES YOU 30 DAYS!!!!
Additionally, according to the contract:
If power is not available at the site of equipment installation, then you will be charged for the installers to bring power to the area.
If plumbing is not available to the site of equipment installation, then you will be charged for bringing plumbing to the area.
NO WHERE on the contract or on any of the documents is the âLifetime Warrantyâ. Jorden was kidding around at first and said we just kill you when it breaks⊠I think he was serious!
If financing is not available you will be required to pay for the equipment you signed for and all work!
When I asked Jorden about all these points and where is the âLifetime Warrantyâ located at? Jorden is becoming more and more agitated and indicating he has another appointment and why am I not signing the contract⊠is it because I am not serious about purchasing the equipment?
He then told me that the âLifetime Warrantyâ is located on line, so I asked where and he called his manager who told him the âLifetime Warrantyâ is not on line. Now Jorden is upset, I still have not signed the contract. He then told me that the âLifetime Warrantyâ is a âlimited Lifetime Warrantyâ, and doesnât cover the motors. So I am really curious about the âlimited Lifetime Warrantyâ, Jorden indicates that it is out in his car, when he comes back he says to me that, âI have wasted his time and I have no intentions of purchasing his equipment and he is leaving! Surprisingly even after indicating we wanted it, he left⊠I guess he had no âlifetime warranty â paper work. So I said in parting, its all smoke and mirrors!
How could Home Depot who I trust associate with such a DISHONEST company?
This was a HIGH PRESSURE SALES: 1 - only gets special offer now! Or you do not get the discount 2 - no time to read the contracts 3 - ...
Read moreI tried buying a z-turn lawn mower from the Ocala Home Depot store a few weeks ago. The day when I originally purchased it, I went to the store to go look at it. It wasnât up front with all the other lawn mowers so I had to ask multiple employees where it was at and I kept getting sent to different location at the store until I was finally told, it was in the back and still had to be put together. I was then told if I were to purchase it Iâd receive it the next day. So I proceeded to purchase it online. 9pm rolls around and the store calls me to tell me they are all out of stock of this lawn mower and theyâd send me another lawn mower from a different store but it would take longer. I ended up calling the store the next morning and talking to a manager, asking what happened since I just had been in the day before and was told it was there. To make a long story as short as possible the lawn mower had to be pushed off to be delivered for a week later which wasnât a big deal. The following week the day before it was supposed to be delivered the store called me to say it wasnât going to be ready and they were sending me to another store and I would get it two days later⊠Two days later the next store calls me and tells me the exact same thing, at this point over a week prior they already charged me for the lawn mower but I still had no lawn mower and kept being told it was getting pushed off a few days. I called the Ocala store and they said they were sorry and they were going to upgrade my lawn mower to one I knew nothing about but it was supposed to be better than the one I originally ordered. So we decided to try it, got it a couple days later. When we got it, it was having a hard time starting and the following week when we went to mow again it wouldnât turn on! I called the Ocala store again and told them what was going on, they said they would come pick up the lawn mower and once they received it they would call us right back to figure out what to do next. Well itâs been a week since they took the broken lawn mower and they havenât bothered calling to fix their mess up. It has been a nightmare few weeks trying to buy a lawn mower from them. I can say with confidence, I will never be purchasing from Home Depot...
