I have to be honest, I have never experienced a more perplexing mall in the entirety of my near 23 years of living. The photos on Google told a tale of a fairly decent mall, with a modest 3.9 star rating. Boy was I lied to, this location had a bit odd of an introduction. At first glance, you seem to be greeted with nothing but a few eating establishments and a TJ Max, which bluntly is all there is. The most surprising thing from this experience was the fact that the liquor store right next to it, is even bigger than the mall itself. To even enter the biggest store in there, which mind you is a TJ Max, you must enter a long, sad, hallway adorned in a single plant resembling that of a Charlie Brown Christmas tree. Perhaps the resturants here are a good choice, but the mall itself, deserves nothing but my worst. If you own this mall and are reading this, please sell the place. (I would like to clarify, this is not a review of the stores within the mall, but a review of the mall...
Read moreSome one wrote a review saying g that the Roses department store is in the shopping center which is not true roses is located in the 94th at shopping center the gold coast mall is roughly 15th Street Bayside. The main attraction in the shopping plaza is TJ Maxx, Peebles a movie theatre and Family Dollar, but there are some other small stores in the mall as well, Also there is a Mexican restaurant in the mall as well as a Candy Kitchen. And who doesn't love fine chocolates, taffy and stuffed animals and about any other candy you could imagine. The The Maxx is hit or miss it's not the best TJMaxx I've been to atleast In the off season when it doesn't seem to be as heavily stocked as it would in the summer season, but it's still worth visiting if your looking for bargains. There's also a Rite Aide pharmacy in the plaza as well and a movie theatre and Denny's located in the back towards the Comfort Inn Bayside Hotel. Lots of stuff to do in this...
Read moreThis mall, if you can even call it that, is flat out sad. I went into Hatland and while the store staff were decent, I couldn't help but feel like this mall died/went out of business years ago and somehow the people who own it never came to kick the tenants out so. The biggest store is a cluttered TJ Maxx (if you've ever been to TJ Maxx in your hometown, just think of the worst experience you've had shopping there and triple it) and it is an actual mess trying to maneuver around in there.
The best way I can explain this mall to anyone is it feels like the scene from the Jordan Peele Movie US when you see where the tethered clones are housed underneath the earth in a weird abandoned mall like floorplan. The lighting is off/straight up dreary, the layout is bad/confusing. I have no idea how this mall is still even open but I think it needs a serious...
