I have enjoyed the handful of times I’ve shopped here, but my latest visit left me shocked. I will not be back. No one has ever told me the counter is for bagging your stuff, or that it’s mandatory. I didn’t know that. I’ve always just bagged my items as they put them in the cart and no one has ever said anything to me about it. My partner, my daughter, and I went about a week ago. 3/23, about 2:00 pm. Blonde girl by the name of Gabrielle was our cashier. As she was checking us out (homegirl was literally TOSSING our stuff in the buggy, btw), all of a sudden, she starts pushing that cart away from her and into me and she’s like “I need to keep checking people out” and I was like “oh okay! Do you want me to empty this one real quick since she’s (my daughter) buckled into the other one?” there were like, 4 items not in the bag and it would have taken a total of one minute to finish, put that cart back up to the side of the register, and leave. She stops and gives me a dirty look, laughs, and says “do what you need to do”. And then she goes “that’s what the counter is for. You can bag your stuff there so I can keep checking people out.” I didn’t even know how to respond to that. Like I said, I had no idea before that the counters were for bagging groceries, and the handful of times I had been before, I hadn’t seen anyone using the counters. If I had, I would have used some context clues. Anyway, her attitude was ugly and uncalled for. I will not be back to this location. I will wait for the Diberville...

I couldn't believe it... I came here purposely to celebrate the newer opening here in the community and the cashier intentionally stole from me.
First of all, she was unprofessional... she had crumpled paper towel with chips laying in it next to her along with open candy she was eating while she rang up food... apparently no concern for using her greasy fingers to touch customer's items... nor her own health during a pandemic.
I noticed the candy she was snacking on was the same candy I was purchasing... MAMBA. She strung up an unusual conversation with me that I believe she did to be distracted and even said, "I love you." out of the blue even though our conversation was not emotional, personal, nor deep in any way. I was thrown back when she said it and didn't focus on the fact that she swiped my candy and slide it next to hers to snack on for the day. I figured she wouldn't be crazy enough to lose her job in a near recession for stealing candy... but when I got home, I realized she definitely is just that crazy as she rang me up for it and kept it for herself.
Regarding the shopping experience overall: Their organic produce section was extremely small... almost pointless... and that's what brought me to Aldis in the first place as Aldis in other states are known for having a vast and affordable organic food section.
What a...
Read moreI'll start off by saying this was my first and last visit to Aldi.
I'm not a fan of requiring a quarter to get a buggy. Especially when the buggies aren't anything special (no place to hold my phone?). I remember when the first Sam's club opened in this area, they required a quarter to get a buggy. They got rid of that fairly quickly because of homeless issues.
Next, I just don't understand the store. Items are grouped haphazardly, and we really didn't find much to buy. The meat section was tiny! We spent about $25, then went to Rouses and spent another $125 on things we needed that we couldn't find at Aldi.
The middle of the store was a bunch of non-grocery items that reminded me of the clearance aisle at Walgreens. The store is so small, why waste it on these types of things?
I hope this store appeals to someone, I'd hate for a new store brand to take a chance on the area and not make it. Biloxi desperately needs a new grocery store that isn't a Wal-Mart. And also,...
