Mississippi Vietnam Veterans Memorial — Attraction in Ocean Springs

I spotted the memorial on my way past and stopped to check it out. Id grown uphearing stories from families and friends about the war. Like the rest of my generation, I also grew up watching M.A.S.H. which combined the Korean and Vietnam conflicts.

The memorial could use some upkeep, but since I only saw one "walker" on the nature path during my time there, I understand that resources may have been otherwise allocated.

What a great tribute to those that have served our country during the time of need. It is a very memorable and humbling experience to walk the loop and pause to read the military citations. I do wish that people didn't use it simply for exercising walking track and only went there to pay respects to those that served during that time. The grounds were beautiful but the facility was "closed for a private party" which no one was there for. My children enjoyed walking around but when they needed to use the restroom we were told they weren't allowed to.
