The check out lines at this place are ridiculous- the self checkouts rarely work and registers are combined with photo/Fedex pickup.. The cashiers always have an attitude which I will cut some slack on because they are young, look overworked, and/or are mismanaged. In photo department they have lost my orders more than once and I have gotten other peoples photos mixed in with my order. The pharmacy I rarely have issues with as the staff there are friendly and helpful but their lines are always long. Online pickup is always a hotmess , most walgreens are 10 minutes pickup times and this one is usually 10 hours- with an e-mail sent out after an hour about the delay. In conclusion avoid this Walgreens!

Second star only because the pharmacy is open 24 hrs & you can drop off old meds (things the local branch doesn't dictate). This is not the only drive thru pharmacy in Oconomowoc FYI, just look across the street. Two weeks ago I had a complaint and the pharmacist called the manager. I thought I was going to talk to her but she simply spoke to the pharmacist and walked away. Customer service? And on 4/18/18 I was told they do not offer blood pressure measurements despite what their website says. It was suggested I go to Wal-Mart. Good idea.

This rating is based on an experience with the assistant manager "Deanna" on 6-17-24 and not the store/pharmacy as a whole. On 6-16-24, I went to the pharmacy and asked for a copy of a receipt for a prescription from a month ago. The manager (I wish I'd gotten her name) was unable to find it in the system using the amount and approximate time the purchase was made. I couldn't recall if I had purchased store items along with the prescription. She was (extremely) kind and said she'd leave a msg for the appropriate dpt on Monday and have then call me. Monday afternoon, I answered my phone to a person, in a hurried and unfriendly tone, go right into talking about "not finding that amount but finding a different amount." I stopped her and asked who she was and where she was calling from? Not because I hadn't figured it out by then, but because her tone was very poor and she hadn't cared enough to identify herself. It was disresptful and extremely unprofessional and no way to initiate a call to a customer. She then identified herself as "Walgreens" When I told "Walgreens" she hadn't initally identified herself and just began talking, her response was to say "Well I figured you'd know." Know, or not, it was rude and very unprofessional! As was the remainder of the conversation. "Walgreens" explained she could find a receipt for a different amount, but not the amount I indicated. I asked if the receipt she was referring to showed a pharmacy charge for the amount I'd indicated but with the difference being a store charge? "Walgreens" said "yes". Why "Walgreens" hadn't simply said that right away is beyond me. "Walgreens" went on to say that she didn't know why the person from the day before couldn't find it because "it was right there" and " it only took me a minute to find it." I wouldn't expect "Walgreens", an assistant manager, to throw another employee under the bus, especially when the other employee was, by far, someone "Walgreens" should take lessons from on customers service. Even though the first manager hadn't been able to locate the transaction and then provide me with a copy of the receipt, I would still prefer to have the first assistant manager assist me over "Walgreens" any day! I'd asked "Walgreens" if she could email a copy of the receipt to me, saving me a second trip to the store. "Walgreens" repeated twice, "I don't didn't think they could send emails to personal emails. Because her answer sounded more like a guess or like she didn't want to be bothered, I asked if she could please double check. She came back to the phone in an irritated tone, said "Whats your email?" Not, "Thank you for waiting. "Good news! I checked with the manager and I can email it to you after all!" Just, "Whats your email? " Apparently, the manager having told "Walgreens" she could in fact help the customer, wasn't the answer "Walgreens" wanted to hear! Then I heard typing. I told "Walgreens" I appreciated it being emailed. She replied, "I just sent it." I replied "Awesome", and although frustrated by this point, I said it in a polite tone, then sat silent, waiting for her to close the conversation, something I do if I'm dealing with an employee who seems to forget, they are the employee and I am the customer. I think it's safe to say my attempt to help remind her hadn't worked because "Walgreens" then hung up on me. I see multiple negative 1 ☆ reviews for Oconomowoc, Summit Ave Walgreens customer service, going back months and months, yet it's continuing to happen. I moved to the area in November since then I have needed medication to be filled at this pharmacy 3 x's (December, January and now February). In December they said they did not have any of my medication and it would take at least 7-10 to order it, I had just gotten out of the ER and it was an emergency necessity, in short... my mother had to drive 80 miles one way to get my medication at another location because I couldn't drive. In January, they only need an 30 mins to fill my medication, when I picked it up it was filled with the generic though the prescription stated it's medically necessary for to fill with the name brand (they hadn't read the whole prescription is what I was told), it took less than 5 mins for them to fill it with the correct medication. Now, it is Wednesday and I went 2 days ago (Monday) to order my refill of the same medication, I was told it would be ready Tuesday and that it was due to needing to order it (which they said they put in the order that day). Today, Wednesday, I went to get it and another prescription and the lady at the drive-thru ignored me for the first 5 mins I was in front of her (along with 3 other techs who saw me that walked past the window and looked at me waiting). When she asked what I was there for, I told her I had 2 prescriptions I was picking up. She first said, " we haven't heard back from the doctors office". I asked her which medication was she referring to, and the one she was referring to is the one I told them I didn't need by today. So, she checked the other one, didn't say a word, and walked off to the back. When she came back she said she just ordered it for tomorrow. I said I was told the same thing on Monday, and asked to speak to the Phamacist. I explained to the Pharmacist and asked what what was going on, she told me that they just manually ordered it so it could be tomorrow or a few days. When I told her that I never had these issues at any other Walgreens, she said I should have called a week before I needed it. My insurance won't fill it that soon and I never had this issue at other locations, so I asked her if they even ordered it on Monday. Without even checking she immediately said "it automatically orders it when it's out of stock, but the supplier didn't send it so we just manually ordered it today". I needed this medication today, and the last time I was out for 2 days, I ended up in the E.R. and suffered a brain injury due to a fall during a seizure! This blatant disregard for accountability on this Pharmacies ability to do their job correctly is unacceptable and ridiculously unprofessional!!! Every time I have been to this location I had nothing but problems, and since they always seem to 5-10 people working at once in the Pharmacy.. I don't know how they can go around blaming customers and their suppliers for 'their' lack of competence and accountability. The Pharmacist told me they are a franchise store (she even tried to convince me that all Walgreens stores are franchises - which I know for a fact is false cause my old location was a corporate owned store).

I do not think this location is reliable, transparent, or honest, and they don't always treat their customers with respect where accountability...

NEVER go to this Walgreens for prescriptions! Every time we've went there has been some sort of problem, and today was no exception. Today, I was in the drive thru and I was behind one car. It took 20 minutes just to drop off a prescription. I asked if I could pick it up in 45 minutes, and the employee said give us an hour. I came back one hour and 40 minutes later and there was a line of 10 people inside to get their prescriptions. This was a Thursday around 3:30pm. When I got to the window they said they were working on my prescription. I sat down and waited for them to fill the prescription. After a few minutes I saw an employee pick up my 2 paper prescriptions by the phone's drive-in window, so they didn't even turn in the prescriptions to be filled until I got there. Then the employee said the doctor didn't sign the prescriptions so they couldn't fill them. I asked why they didn't tell me that when I dropped them off and she said there was someone new at the drive thru window. They said they could call the doctor and get approval over the phone. The employee said I could come back, but I live 20 miles away so I decided to leave and go back tomorrow after my surgery. I was scheduled to take my medication tonight, but that's not going to happen now. I should of drove 25 miles to the Lake Mills Walgreens, which I usually go to, and it would of been faster and I would have my pills and be home a lot sooner. I'm disappointed I have to give this store 1 star...
