The Chocolate Factory — Restaurant in Oconomowoc

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! My co-workers and I had the worst experience with this restaurant today! Very horrible customer service and very rude staff. We placed an order for delivery and it showed up 2 hours late! In the past we've gotten our food in a timely manner but today was different. We never got a call to let us know they were running late, when we called after an hour they said the food would be there shortly and it finally arrived an hour after! We called an hour ahead of our actual lunch time to ensure we'd get our subs on time but since they were 2 hours late none of us were able to eat lunch on time. When The driver finally arrived she was highly irritated that we didn't want the cold soup and subs that had been sitting for who knows how long. She told us we would have to contact her manager in order to be reimbursed! When we called, the manager wouldn't refund anything until she talked to the driver and would call us back....2 hours later with no word we called and the manager had gone home sick....never an apology never a "what can we do to make this right" we got nothing! We have all agreed this will be our last time ordering from here. This is too bad since we have ordered there quite a bit in the past.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! I have been going to chocolate factory for two years. I was addicted to their shakes. The last visit I went in and ordered two shakes and they came back with the texture of water. I apologized and asked the girl if she would remake them thicker. She went back and talked to her manager for about 10 minutes. She came out and said she followed the recipe. I explained that I never had a shake with the texture of water. She stated that for now on I must request a thicker shake. She then made two shakes again for me. Again they were terrible. She gave them to me and stated that she followed the recipe and this is how they are making shakes. So what is the point of telling me to request a thicker shake if you are still not going to make it thicker. After 9 dollars still can't get the correct shake. The name is misleading. They don’t make chocolate, they serve delicious subs and superior quality ice cream. You know they’re doing something right since they’ve been open for nearly 50 years. They make their own bread for the subs and it is something special. Since I graduated from high school in ‘79, back then this was the hang out like happy days had in the 50’s. The subs taste just like they did back then. I always stop in when I drive past Oconomowoc since I don’t live close anymore. Don’t think subway or any other sub chain, these are in a class of their own. If you are on 94, driving by Oconomowoc, exit and head towards town.
