This was the first time and it will be the last one, I will have any reservations here. I booked early October for a December date. I called back to changed the the time of the event. I was told, I will have from 45 minutes to an hour before of the event to decorate and have everything set up. I called back in December to see when the reservation started. The person on the phone told me, that it started at one and I will have time to set up the room. Well, I show up at 12:00 and everything was lock and closed. I repeatedly called and no one answered. Then I waited at the mall office with the receptionist "the only one that seem to care" and was told they may be close for the day "because they had power outage the day before". Well I was upset because if they were to be closed, no one called me to be inform me. Afterwards, the lady in the office talked to the manager of ice rink. He said he didn't even know, they had a party reserved that day. I was told, that the lights had finally turned on inside at about 12:50am. I called and called and no one answered, once again. I finally walked to the Ice rink and they keeped their doors close till literally 1:00pm. When the girl finally opens the door and I asked for the manager. She said ohh he is just in there and didn't bother to walk me to him or call him. I go in to find him and I see someone just sweeping around two rooms. I guess the rooms I paid for. I approach him, I greet him and let him know what had happen. The first thing he said was "no one told you, that you had an hour to decorate because that is not part of our policy". Which leaves me in complete shock, first he insinuates, I am crazy or lying or that I just completely made this up. Or maybe I just showed up, one hour early to cruse around the mall. He never apologize for anything, he just said there was a miscommunication. And just walked away, as I was still speaking to him. I have never felt so ignored, or met someone with such bad lack of customer service. I myself work in the customer service industry. You will think that a "manager" should have some type of people skills. I told him, look I'am really trying to stay calm and be nice, but my invitations are set at one, and my guest are already here. I waited one hour and I didn't even have 15 minutes to set up. But no, he did not once try to make it right or even show a single care in the world. He told me, as he walked off once again. "Well there is the room and its one o'clock already. The girl in front will give you, your bracelets.". I go and get my bracelets but still no show of appreciation or even "I am sorry". Then Im just so mad indisbelief so I demanded my money back. He said, he will mail it to me, that he didn't have any yet. What! After all this, my people where all gather outside and he will mail my money. I told him I was not going to take it like that, I needed it as soon as possible. He told me to stop by Monday morning and he will have a check. My husband and his father in law, went to talk to him later, and demanded the money back. Somehow he was very "nice" with them, after they said they will talk to someone higher and then they called to Ice rink. He handed my money and said sorry. I told him, that's all I needed to hear. If you will have said that in beginning, we will not be standing here. He said nothing and looked down. So if you don't want to end up finding where to have your four year old daughters birthday, last minute. With all the people you invited, I will not consider MCM Ice Rink. At least, not till they make a change in management. So no, I will not recommend this place for party...

The lockers are all broken unfortunately but we have been going for hockey practice so i like that they jave that available as well as figure skating and other ice events.
Update: After going for now almost 3 years we are so happy with the management and staff at this time. Jonathan is very helpful and great management. He also gives private lessons which we like as well just have to get fit into his schedule for some lessons for my son. Their equipment is great too. When we showed up we were told that all of them were rented and we could get one whenever the people who had them turned them in. They have no one in the rink monitoring who has paid, who is done, etc. so unless you can get there right when they open and secure one donāt bother.
