Wow. About three months ago, my husband and I purchased a necklace from this store—it was actually our very first time walking in, let alone buying anything. We were looking for something special to match my wedding ring set, and we came across a beautiful necklace that caught our eye. I just knew i wanted a gold one, I’ve always loved rose gold—it's my absolute favorite when it comes to jewelry. We were told by the staff that the necklace we were looking at was a rose gold diamond necklace with a white gold chain, which was exactly what I was hoping for. My husband surprised me and bought it for me on the spot. Fast forward to just a few days ago—after all this time—while we were visiting a pawn shop looking for a computer, a kind lady working there complimented me on the necklace and offered to clean it for me. I thought nothing of it and accepted her offer. After cleaning it, she informed me that she had also tested the piece to make sure she was using the right solution. That’s when she told me the necklace is actually 925 sterling silver—not gold at all. I was stunned. Shocked. Disappointed. And, to be honest, very upset. I walked out of the pawn shop in disbelief. While the necklace is still beautiful, I feel completely misled. We paid a significant amount of money for this necklace, believing it was gold. That’s not a cheap purchase, and to discover months later that it’s actually silver feels like a betrayal. I now feel that I was not only lied to, but also overcharged. To make matters even more frustrating, I’ve searched for this specific item online and can’t find it anywhere. There’s no clear description on my receipt indicating that the necklace is silver. In fact, my receipt states “10K gold.” I even tried searching the item number on the receipt—and it doesn't pull up anything. The pawn shop lady showed me the very small “925 Italy” stamp on the necklace—something I never noticed before. I truly had no idea it was there. This was our first time shopping in this store, and I truly expected honesty and transparency. Instead, I feel like I was sold something based on what the salesperson wanted to sell just because I liked something, but yet it's not what I specifically asked for. I trusted that I was getting a gold necklace, and now I realize that wasn’t the case at all. Moving forward, I will be keeping the necklace because it was a gift from my husband, and it does mean a lot to me emotionally. But both he and I are deeply disappointed and upset that we were misled and taken advantage of. From now on, I will have every piece of jewelry—whether gold or diamonds—tested right in front of me before making a purchase. I will not rely on anyone’s word again. And to think—we were planning to return to the store tomorrow to purchase a matching bracelet and my dream wedding band. Needless to say, that won’t be happening anymore. This entire experience has left me very hurt and disappointed. We won't be coming back...
Read moreI initially rated this experience four stars, as I have just received the item today, and will need to observe it's performance over time. I will change it after a few months. However, I must express that the service we received today at this jewelry store was exceptional. I wholeheartedly recommend this store to anyone in search of stunning jewelry. Debbie and Lawrence, (I hope I have spelled your names correctly) they were truly amazing, and remarkably kind, attentive, and accommodating. They went above and beyond to assist us in finding something truly special. Although we entered the store simply just to browse and buy it later. But we ended up falling in love with this beautiful necklace that Debbie showed us, it was absolutely stunning! It perfectly complemented my wedding ring set as if it were made for it!!! My husband surprised me by purchasing it, despite my insistence that i was okay with waiting and was going to get the item number, I do love diamonds and jewelry I can't help it, I really like sparkly things, but i don't expect to always get them. I can definitely wait. But my lovely husband got it for me anyways and he put it on me after debbie and Lawrence had it cleaned and made it really sparkle, i was so shocked and touched, i cried. I was genuinely touched by all of it! The service we received, my husband's thoughtfulness, it meant so much to me that he wanted to do this for me. He didn't have to but he did. I just want to say to Debbie and Lawrence, it was a pleasure to not only work with yall in finding beautiful jewelry but also meeting you was an absolute delight. I look forward to returning soon. Thank you for your kindness and assistance; it is greatly and truly...
Read moreThis place has gone down hill and I’d probably never shop or get repairs done at this location again. This new crew is beyond ridiculous and doesn’t communicate well with customers and over charge to make a sale instead of a general repair. On my daughters necklace the price use to be around 10 dollars and some change but now with these new employees the cost is supposedly the same as a new necklace chain. On my step son’s necklace it was turnt in to have repaired on the hook that connects the cross to the chain and was charged way more for a cheap replacement that was not discussed when dropped off. The original to the cross that was purchased there was nowhere near the cheap hook they added to it. I guess I won’t be back until the original crew is back and I’ll just stay using Zales for now on. Nice way to...
