First off, I have worked in the service industry long enough to value a good experience, and don't mind paying for such experience. My motto on customer service is "ladies and gentlement serving ladies and gentlemen." With that being said, my very point will be made by one review left below mine by someone else sitting at the table with me. We have not been absent from this "establishment" longer than an hr before writing a review by one of us, and that comment was replied to instantly by management. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I'm in management, I would be spending my time leading my employees to give a desirable experience to our clients and not sitting at a computer and waiting on a review you know you are about to receive, then make up a lie about us asking the mariachi band to move out side!!! What! We were videoing my little one standing up in front of them dancing, not asking them to move as the band was the ONLY thing that was good about Mojitos. I was the one out of our party that talked them into coming here in the first place when the buffet next door we were headed had a long wait. All excited I was at least going to get a drink here instead of not being able at the buffet. Our drinks were finally delivered 15 min after we ordered, I know this bc I started paying attention to time after I looked back at a video time I had taken as we were sitting there after we had given our drink order. Regardless of time, the drinks sat on bar until they melted half way up the drink, when I addressed the drinks being half melted the lady argues with me they were not and had not been sitting on the bar for any period of time. What? Who argues with your client?? Then asks the "bartender" who was a server I'm guessing bc she was waiting tables as well how long they had sat on the bar.... lol smdh, I just shut up at this point - you can't win an argument with a fool. Now the DRINK- a PIÑA COLADA, was clearly made by a mix or somthing bc it was grainy and had chunks or grainy somthing ? I attached a picture, and I'm sure you will mistake the grainy mixture as whipped cream, but lol I wished it was. I'm just going to stop, I've got better things to do than continue to rant, as I never ever waste my time writing reviews unless i feel so bad for future people having to experience... so...
Read moreJust came out for drinks and dinner as we usually do a couple times a month. We suffer mojitos because it’s a short walk from out apartment but I finally will write my review as a frequent client. There is little consistency with some items on the menu. We ordered the same plate 15 minutes apart and had different looking plates missing ingredients listed on the menu without explanation. Servers often are new and untrained, as well as frequently changing. We’ve had several complain of the managers methods personally. Tonight we ordered and asked the server a simple request if we could substitute an appetizer for two sides. We received an ok for the meal as requested. When we got the bill we were charged with the appetizer. We never received clarification on the extra charge nor explanation that this request could not be met. We brought this up to the server along with the price change of an item the deviled eggs not corrected on the menu but only in the final bill. She went to get manager to speak to us and long story short, she placed blame on the untrained server and us. Refused us a refund and rudely and abruptly walked away with a good night and left us the bill. I let her know that this was poor customer service and that we were frequent clients, no difference. I hate this for two reasons. One I like the proximity of the place and usually am ok with the poor service, the second is the lack of courtesy to the client. How much are you hurting as a business when you have to resort to treating a client and staff like this. We are going to think twice about coming here again and certainly will have to read the fine print in the menu so that we may not make a mistake again.
Well, I have to update...we checked our card statement and they charged us a $10 tip when we left none for the bad experience. Now we have to call the card company to dispute the charges. I can’t make this up, it’s a little surreal how this has happened. No longer as a business but just as a person with some decency for another’s sake. I’ve...
Read moreI visited this place a couple of weeks ago ( July 22, 2023). Me and a cousin wanted to go out for some nice drinks and food. This place has some nice pictures on Google, so we gave it a try. When we got there, it was almost empty, on a Saturday night. That should've been the first hint.... We saw signs saying that they offered Mimosas. My cousin had never tried one, so after telling her how they are made, she wanted to try one. Mimosas are so easy to make. Grab a glass, fill it with 1/2 champagne and 1/2 orange juice. Simple, that's it!! We got orange kool-aid. Like "Tang". I was embarrassed that I even offered this to anyone. I asked the waitress (when she finally came around) if there was any champagne in the glass and she didn't know what to say. For some reason, when she left our table, she brought the lady that was in the back cooking. This lady told me that the reason the Mimosas tasted that way was because the bottle she used on us was the same opened bottle from that morning and that they don't throw opened bottles away. WHAT?!?!? Mimosas are supposed to be fizzy and bubbly, not flat like kool-aid. I ended up buying an unopened bottle and some o.j. and mixed them myself. Finally, we got Mimosas. I also had to pay for the bad mimosas we got at first. We also ordered food. There steak is not steak. Its a frozen patty of some kind. The cook burned the bottom side on both mine and my cousins. Even after showing this to our waitress, I still had to pay for it all. This place looks very nice, but that's it. More training on mix drinks is needed. Got to have someone who can really cook simple Tex-Mex plates. Possibly hiring a night manager with a smile and a positive attitude could bring in a lot more customers and more...
