Ro's Shirts By the Shore — Local services in Ogunquit

I never post reviews, positive or negative. Just not something I do as I am not active online. However I feel compelled to do so when it comes to this store. We’ve been visiting Ogunquit for decades and over the years have purchased many items at Ro’s. Two days ago we walked into the store with our two daughters. It was barely 8 pm, door wide open, clearly the store seemed open. Once we set foot inside, the owner was VISIBLY annoyed at yet more tourists walking in. After a long day, I can understand being tired and wanting to go home. A simple “sorry folks we’re about to close” would have sufficed and we would have been on our way. After a few minutes of uncomfortable browsing, we left. My daughter returned the next day, late afternoon, to buy a sweatshirt she had seen and was met with rudeness, condescension and downright mockery. It’s one thing to be rude after a long tiring day, it’s quite another to treat a young polite girl who returned specifically to make a purchase in such a way. Shame on you! We will definitely be back to Ogunquit and Perkins Cove but I will never again set foot...

I have shopped at this store (in the cove) and formerly on Shore road since 2001. The selection of shirts, sweatshirts and other items is consistent--some cheap tourist stuff, some reasonable quality stuff. I have purchased numerous "Custom Colors" shirts (decent weight, long lasting) embroidered shirts and sweatshirts. I have NEVER experienced any of the negative effects some others have complained of and previously Ro on Shore rd. and the lady (and husband) in the Cove have always been pleasant. Contrary to the litany of touristy t-shirt shops in Ogunquit, Ro's has always been much better priced and selling quality merchandise. Check it out for yourself and don't be mislead by some trolls. The 2 for $28 shirts are great, the sizing is excellent and the choices change annually. The sweatshirts are light or medium weight and hold up over time. Coming from Texas, we know how to be polite and we are treated in kind. I was appalled by some of the petty reviews, I don't enjoy any discount, and suggest you check it out...

I’ve always made a yearly trip to Ogunquit and end the evening at perkins cove before dinner...Never would i have thought i would encounter a negative experience. My family had the misfortune to be caught in a severe downpour while walking marginal way. So we found the first clothing store (RO above the java shop) ready to buy up 7new outfits. We were greeted with disgust as the dripping of our wet clothing was a nuisance to the woman behind the counter.She made my family feel as if we were unwanted guests (id go as far as being treated like robbers or breaking & entering suspects) As she made i inappropriate comments under her breath, my daughter placed her items back & walked away with tears of rage in her eyes... never will...
