My family and I had the pleasure of spending a night at this charming inn during our recent trip to Ogunquit, and we were genuinely delighted with our experience.
Firstly, the location of the inn couldn't have been more perfect. Nestled conveniently between downtown Ogunquit and Perkins Cove, it struck a balance that allowed us to explore both areas effortlessly. The best part was that everything, including the beach, was within walking distance, yet the inn managed to maintain a tranquil atmosphere, shielded from the bustling tourist crowds. For those who prefer not to walk, a trolley service was available, connecting us to all the important spots.
The staff at the inn was exceptionally pleasant. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. They were not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about the area, offering us some fantastic recommendations for local attractions and restaurants.
We stayed in a suite, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. Impeccably clean and modern, it came with a well-equipped kitchenette that allowed us to prepare some light meals at our convenience. The suite also featured a small balcony.
One perks of the inn was the on-premises parking, which was a huge relief. Not having to worry about finding parking in a busy tourist area was a definite bonus and made our stay hassle-free.
I ever travel to Ogunquit again, I would try to stay...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I were at Sea Rose Suites for 5 days and 6 nights. We loved our stay. We booked using Travelocity and received the room we requested, which doesn't always happen when using a third party to make reservations. The front desk employees are extremely friendly and easygoing. The hotel is not beachfront, but that doesn't take away from the experience. The Sea Rose was situated in an ideal location for what we were looking for when planning our vacation. It's very close to nice shops and restaurants (5-10 minutes up the road). The Marginal Way, a beautiful trail that overlooks the water, is only 5 minutes up the road, as well. Ogunquit is a charming little town with a lot of surprises both near and far. Portland, a major city in Maine known for excellent restaurants, is just 60 minutes north of the Sea Rose. Other neighboring towns offer unique culinary experiences, both seafood-inspired and otherwise. We even had a an excellent vegan/gluten-free dinner in Portsmouth, New Hampshire one night. To say we enjoyed our stay here is an understatement. The next time I plan to vacation in southern-central Maine, I will be making my...
Read moreWhile most of the staff is friendly, a few years ago my husbands wedding band disappeared from our room (it was likely an accident and vacuumed by mistake is what we hope). We were upset but they were very nice about it (on the phone they didn’t offer any compensation). We tried to stay there again now, this time it was horrible weather (not their fault) so we barely left the room and when we did we were in sweats. I woke up with welts all over the left side of my bod (the side I sleep on) from what must be bugs living in the mattress (I’m the only one in my family who slept in that bed). It started slowly over 3 nights but was obvious after waking up on the 3rd night. I have never been more uncomfortable leaving a hotel in my life, When we told them about it there was no apology or confirmation they will look into it before having someone else stay in that room. We were just told it has never happened before like I’m at fault for this experience! Needless to say we wont be back. I hope someone else see’s this and is spared...
