You cant say you get what you pay for because honestly Harkins in Brickown is just as low cost and not the headache this place is. Me and my partner came here and upon entering the lobby was messy with trash and popcorn on the floor. At the concession stand were 7 to 8 talking and only one checking people out. We ordered a large drink and popcorn and the girl that checked us out was more concerned talking to her 2 other coworkers about what they planned to do and never really acknowledged us. After getting our cup we found out the fountain drink dispenser was not working . I went back to the stand and said I wanted a refund on our drink only and before I could even say why I wanted a refund one of the employees states "manager says no refund!" I then replied I don't understand to which the manager then asked what was our issue. I said we bought a large drink and your machine isn't working so we just would like a refund on the drink portion. The manager asked who check me out to which I pointed out the the girl who was our cashier who buy now was in a huddle talking to her coworkers while the line was building up. He asked her if she told us the machine isn't working. She said ya! before turning around to have her conversation . I said "no she didn't she didn't even talk to us." He then asked her again if she's sure. She then rolled her eyes and said "I tell everyone, I told the people ahead of them" I replied "no you didn't. you were talking to your friend sand said your coworker was to short and you felt bad for him" The manager then looked agitated with me and then said ok we will just do it whatever". I then asked why would I pay for a fountain drink if it isn't working and the manager said "well people do it! its not my fault its my GM!" and shrugged his shoulders. While this is going on can her the female cashier mock me. We got the refund for the drink and went to the theater. Upon walking in the theater was messy and not vey comfortable. After sitting down and looking at the state of the theater we just walked out before the movie even started. The staff and cleanliness left a bad taste in my mouth. It has potential but with this staff not much hope. I would honestly suggest go somewhere else. Bricktown is just as cheap and...
Read moreI’d really really like to speak to the owner here. I’ve been here plenty of times and NEVER had a problem with no one.. White lady with clear glasses and short hair decided to be petty and kick me out for no reason… I wish they had listen to me and check the cameras for them to see that I had no attitude. I asked multiple times for them to check the cameras but everyone said no.. I don’t know what that lady had against me, I had already paid my tickets online, bought drinks and popcorn at the register. After 10-15 minutes of sitting and waiting for the movie to start, I randomly get asked to put my bag in my car after already being asked if it was a purse(which I said yes to). I willingly got up to go put my bag in the car. Then she had the need to kick me out. I was confused and started to get upset. If she wanted us to leave since the beginning, why make us pay for the popcorn, drinks, and then proceed to let us sit for 10-15 minutes, then decide to kick us out. Keep in mind the movie hadn’t even started yet..She could’ve addressed the issue since the beginning, yet she decided to wait so long. I did get really upset and I did get loud. That was because I felt that I wasn’t being heard. She was rude from the very beginning and I felt the tension between us. She didn’t explain anything she just wanted us to leave without a refund or a valid explanation. Any words or attitude that I was accused of having was only being reciprocated because of the fact that this lady was doing it first. All I ask is for is a simple refund. Not being able to come back, or anything is fine. I’m a hard worker and it’s unfair for me to have my...
Read moreWe came at 11 on a Saturday to watch Barbie - this was our first time to Icon but we really wanted to check it out. Got tickets online, really went overboard on concessions: a giant bucket of popcorn (free refills) and paper sharing bags for the whole family, a box of candy for each of us (4 total), a large drink, a large drink with a keepsake cup, and a pretzel with salt for around $45 total. That was ~$12 per person for concessions, which felt SUPER reasonable - especially considering free refills on drinks and popcorn. The lobby was small and felt more like a very small town theater but it was very clean and the staff was friendly, helpful, and super hospitable. In the theater, again it's obvious this theater has been remodeled but has really old bones - the layout of the theater reminds me of smaller cinemas in Enid or Cushing - but the seats are AMAZING. By far the best seating I've ever seen in a public place. They could easily have put a couple extra rows of seats in, as well, so they can sell more tickets but instead they chose comfort for guests over profit and therefore, you can recline all the way back and never worry about the people behind or ahead of you - so much footroom it's crazy.
Just remember this when you go to any other cinema - they CAN offer reasonably priced concessions, free refills, ample sized high end seating, and fair ticket prices and still make a profit. This will be our go-to theater...
