UPDATED March 11, 2023 Saturday Jazmine (cashier) and Ben Crest on 23rd Jazmine helpful exemplary customer service. Ben quietly noticed my physical challenge as I was standing up from the motorized cart and asked me as he loaded my groceries if I preferred them bagged a little lighter, easier for me to carry and unload @ home. It is the first time a check out bagger has ever been so thoughtful to ask me such a thing. It was such a nice surprise and so appreciated. This kind of exemplary customer service is noteworthy. Posted and submitted on the crest website to alert HR that they have two very customer service oriented employees at this store. As a note this store has several motorized carts under repair according to an employee so at 8:30 AM having only one cart will be an issue for other physically challenged customers.
UPDATED: stars 4 followup Crest manager called apologetic asked for details will handle As appropriate. Also posted on Crestās corp website 7 AM Wednesday, November 17 2021 2 complaints/Carts & 1employee 3 employee praises This is my regular store and itās the first time Iāve been so disappointed. *Unable to complete my shopping as a disabled elder because cart ran out of juice halfway through the store. Crest employee Marissa saw me sitting in the middle of walkway trying to get the cart to at least move toward check out and asked if she could help me. When she checked for another cart so I could continue my shopping she came back to apologetically explain that every single cart was still charging with no juice so she and another fellow (who I did not get his name) moved my items into a pushcart so I could at least make it through check out. Brittney (bagger) helped me to my car and loaded my groceries for me. Marissa & (unnamed fellow)and Brittney deserve kudos for being excellent at Customer Service. These 3 employees deserve to know they were appreciated.
Store lost money$! I left with a dozen items still on my shopping list because I NEED a motorized cart. *complaint-employee Yolanda Usually everyone at this store is very helpful so imagine my surprise when I was asked to move out of the way by Yolanda who was more interested in stocking her premade salads than allowing me to select the items I needed from that area. I had to drive back around later to choose the selections I needed. It was so rude of her to stand there and continually say āexcuse meā several times forcing me to move out of her way before I was able to get my items. If she had asked me was there anything she could help me choose I would have gladly accepted. This employee Yolanda needs customer service training. Stocking product should not be a priority over helping a disabled customer. Prior post⦠Very helpful people this morning at Crest on Northwest 23rd. Christian, Brian, Keith and Bryce all offered their help while I was shopping this morning and I can tell you itās much appreciated since this was my first shopping trip out since March of last year 2020. While Iāve been using whole foods delivery for some time I actually missed picking my own...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis store pales in comparison from the SW 104th & May Ave store, which is well organized, greater healthier food selection, cleaner and friendly employees.
This store at NW 23rd & Meridian, is more prolific in unhealthy junk foods, which obviously sell faster by the looks of the shelves.
The fact that the healthy snack bar was removed, which used to sit just adjacent to the fruit/vegetable isle as you walk into the store, tells a lot. It wasn't popular because it wasn't filled with empty calorie sweets.
I hated to see that taken out because, there is still room for it!
I can buy Planet Oat, Oat Milk at the SW 104th store. NW 23rd? Nowhere to be found. I either have to wait until I'm in Moore once a month or drive to Sprout's.
Store is most often in disarray, dirty, disorganized.
Most vegetables sit until they look awful because my area demographic consists of people who don't know what an artichoke is. And believe me, when artichokes are there, they're tiny and brown.
But, the snack food and sweets isles? Very popular and the most crowded except for the ice cream isle.
The fruit section has some good selections, bananas are popular and always look fresh.
But, other fruits (excluding apples and bananas) "meh"
Examples:
Bosch pears. Usually have deep, bruises which rot when brought home, if not eaten that day.
Nectarines. Last summer, a section of nectarines were over ripe with fruit flies buzzing around.
I went back a couple days later, same batch, rotted a little more with flies happily feasting. No one on staff noticed or did and just let them decompose further.
I'm sure the consensus is, for some would be, just move closer to Moore.
I bought my house close to the Meridian store 18 years ago. This means I've been patronizing the Meridian store for more than a decade and have solid basis for how much this store has gone down hill.
My mom loved the store for years. She talked me into trying it. She passed away last November. But, when she was a patron, when the store was run better, she got to know many employees.
There's been a lot of turnover there. That's usually a bad sign. If employees don't want to stay, loyal customers generally don't want to, either.
If it weren't for the low prices, I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSometimes they have sale items that are cheaper than Walmart, so we shop here for those (Energy drinks for $1 each, chips less than $2.00 per bag, 20 packs $11.00 for 2, etc).
I don't like that their self checkouts aren't as simple as neighborhood walmart, and if you have a food stamp card, you can't even use the self check out.
The employees are usually really nice here though. I lost my phone in the parking lot (Left it in a shopping cart). Thankfully for me, a nice, HONEST woman found it and turned it in. The woman at the front counter answered it to let my daughter know (she was calling it for me to help me find it) where exactly it was, and that it was safe until I could get to it.
I've also had some VERY good experiences with the cashiers and baggers. They're usually VERY nice to me, and much more patient than I expected. Sometimes I have to use more than one card, and once I had to use a combination of two cards, and some cash (including some change). I was fumbling around and trying to rush, and the cashier told me "Relax, there honestly is no rush. Take your time!". She didn't say it hatefully or rudely, she really was just trying to help put me at ease.
Some of the prices are a bit higher, but I've always had a pleasant experience here with the employees and most of the time with the customers as well. Honestly, I'd have rated it a 5 if I wasn't so bothered by the limited self checkouts. Also, they're a bit annoying because they announce everything loudly when you swipe it, and I do mean LOUDLY.
Those are the only problems I can think of though, nothing worth not shopping here, that's for sure, unless you want to use a food stamp card at a...
