This place has a cool vibe, but thatâs about it.
At the grand opening, around 9:30, We waited 20 minutes in a line for our drinks. It seemed like one bartender was really slowing the line because when he left, everything moved quicker.
For such a nice vibe, standing in line felt out of touch. Itâs a dark, western feel with a line? No. Whereâs the waiter?
The other frustrating part was there werenât prices anywhere, even on the menu. The menu was written more as something cute and funny rather than helpful. The descriptions were vague..
I had the Theyâre, Their, There and it was good. My husband had the bartender make something with vodka. It was good too. They were both really acidic, but it was likely just a coincidence.
We also got a spirits flight. The only tolerable alcohol was the vodka. The fun wasnât fruitful and the bourbon tasted like nothing.
Whoever owns this place spent a lot of money to make it look good. Iâm sure a whole brand development was created and someone is really proud of the priceless menu they wrote.
I wish this place the best of luck as I know the district needs it. My husband and I wonât be...
Read moreAbout 3 minutes into our tour, the âdistillery dog, Kaiâ pooped in the distillery behind us. David, the tour guide said, âOh no. Donât turn around.â He proceeded to give us information on the onion still. Another couple of minutes went by and the smell of the dog ââââ became so overwhelming. He escorted us back into the tasting room. Another woman came over and began our tasting while he went in and cleaned it up. When our tasting was finished, David returned and said it was all cleaned up, but the smell was still present and said we would complete the tour from our seats in the tasting room. He told us about the 24 window vodka stack and he ended the tour. We spent $80.00 for a âtourâ where a dog sââ in the middle of the distillery room. It seems that there should be some sort of code where that isnât acceptable. It was disgusting. We paid for the cocktail tour as well but had no desire to stick around for that either. When a dog dumps in the middle of the room, you have to wonder where else heâs taken liberties. Do yourself a favor, go to a bar and order a fun cocktail anywhere else. ...
Read moreI love Bourbon and finding small local distilleries. Before I left for OKC I research the OKC Bourbon vibe, which there is only as few in all of OK. Being my Sunday was really the only day I had Woodworks Distilling fit the bill. I was there about an hour after opening and was the lone soul in the place besides the bartender for about 30-45 min. We had great conversations and handful of drinks and tries. I was able to score a bottle to take home to Florida. The vibe and atmosphere if medium dark and cool. I really enjoyed the layout and the Sunday afternoon crowd started to come in. It went from Zero or Hero pretty fast. The Bartenders was getting super busy and doing his very best to keep up. The owner came in out unannounced and start to help out. Then another employee that was off who was there with friends stepped up too. The crew seems to work well together and they are putting out some solid magic brown water. Hats off to good product and I wish you all the best. I'll be back in...
