My toddler and I went on the silent opening day đ€«. It ended up being just us and two other families but Iâm sure after grand opening this place will be packed for good reasons! Iâm trying not to go in depth on reviewing too much because they just opened but there were quite a few things I loved and just some things I noticed. My son is obsessed with space so coming here has been highly anticipated by the both of us. The playground is divided into toddler and older kids sections. For toddlers there are a few slides, spin contraptions, busy boards, and a small foam section in the back for building. The bigger area obviously has a lot more including our families #1 spot, the ball pit! There were so many other smaller activities to do within the ball pit that my kiddo stayed in there for a majority of the time. We did explore some before he got stuck in the pit and saw that the playground was pretty fun too, lots of obstacles, twists and turns, small zip line, slides, giant rocket ship, honestly everything all kids would want to do. There is plenty of room for parents to climb in and get their kiddo out if needed. The only warning I would give is that above the ball pit on two sides there are ball blasters that have some omph to them and shoot straight down into the ball pit so may not be as toddler friendly during busier hours but will definitely be a blast for the older kids. The staff was friendly upon entering and helped us with the lockers (which are free) and showed us where everything is located. Bathrooms, they do not have toddler seats but I mentioned this to one of the employees and they said theyâre already looking into it. Yes there is a family bathroom and diaper changing stations. There are two signs at the front entrance saying no outside food or drink. They do have a concession stand, not an overwhelming amount of options but Iâm sure they will change as time goes on, it is on the cheaper side as well. We did bring a water bottle that we kept in the locker and only used in that area, we also had snacks in our bag but didnât get to that point in the two hours we were there so not sure if we wouldâve been allowed to go to the eating area to have those or if we had to buy theirs. Some kids have restrictions so Iâm assuming that as long as youâre not bringing meals like McDonaldâs and pizzas for example it would be okay but that is something that needs to be clarified with staff. We did talk to management about potentially throwing a birthday party there and she was very very helpful. We have a few friends with restrictions and she was more than willing to work with us on the food side. You cannot bring your own food to birthdays except for cake. They also prefer to use their own decorations which is included in the price, not a downside since we know how much work it takes to decorate for parties đ€Ł Overall this place was perfect for our space loving toddler and we do plan...
Read moreWe visited Club Run and Jump in Platte City, KS after seeing it on TikTok. It looked like a fun local play space and we thought it would be a great way to spend an hour that we had to spare. The price listed online was $14, which seemed reasonable.
When we arrived, we were charged $30+, because adults had to pay full admission, even though we werenât planning to use the play areas. We asked if we could just sit up front by the lockers and were told âif you come in at all, you have to pay.â The lockers are right by the front entrance and donât even offer a view of the play area, so it made no sense.
Whatâs worse is that after our visit, we found out online that you actually can sit by the lockers without paying. That made the experience even more frustrating. We asked that exact question and were told no, with no explanation, flexibility, or customer service at all.
We had already promised our child weâd come and had driven 30 minutes out of our way, otherwise, we wouldâve left. The staff seemed indifferent, just repeating the policy with no attempt to clarify or help.
What looked like a fun, family-friendly spot turned out to be disappointing and misleading. If you're planning to visit, be aware that policies seem to be enforced inconsistently, and you may be charged even when you're not participating. Management really needs to reevaluate their pricing, communication, and customer experience.
I will add that aside from the overcharging, and terrible customer service, the play place itself was nice and our child had...
Read moreCame in today at 3 on a Friday and it wasn't crowded. Lots of fun and great friendly staff. They do walk around and make sure kids is safe and having fun. Everything here is safe. I see a few reviews talking about the machines guns( ball shooter) over the ball pit being a bit much....but lemme tell you. The balls are so soft and they fall right to the ground. So you can't really shoot the balls at anyone and nobody can get hurt. It's just a fun attraction for the kids. But I can't see any child getting hurt here or falling off anything.
Everything is padded. Good music, clean and super cool air conditioning wise which is very great. Love love love this place. Best ages would be 1-10 years old. But parents can play with the kids as well.
My daughter and I stayed 5 hrs. Would recommend getting the annual 250 membership. Other than that all positive things no negative. Plus it's location is great. Pizza street is right across the street. So it's a win win all around. One of the best places I've taking my...
