I made a bridal appointment initially for May 1st and I saw a couple of dresses that I absolutely loved. I decided to make a second appointment for June 22nd so that my mother-in-law and two aunts could accompany me and help me choose a dress. Our appointment was at 2:00PM and we felt like we were being rushed from the moment we arrived. When we arrived I mentioned to Yolanda that my aunts drove four hours from out of town that morning to be there with me, and my mother-in-law flew in from San Diego as well. She mentioned to me that her new supervisor doesn’t do sales, so she was by herself that day (on a Saturday). Her 3:30 appointment (Haley was her name, I believe) arrived 30 minutes early and Yolanda appeared overwhelmed so she told her to go downstairs to wait to be called. By the time it was 3:20, I tried on my last dress and as soon as I saw myself in the mirror, my eyes teared up for the first time since trying on bridal gowns. We all knew we had found the gown of my dreams! I told Yolanda that I thought this was the dress and I was abruptly told to make an appointment for a later date to purchase it because her next appointment was already there and she was the only one working. I went back to the fitting room to put my clothes back on, and when I left the fitting room I found that my aunts and mother-in-law had already been told to leave the bridal area and wait for me downstairs. That is such poor form for a bridal boutique of this nature. That day was hard enough already, being that my deceased mother couldn’t be with me on that day to help me choose my gown. I had envisioned the entire experience happening in a completely different manner than it did, and I am utterly heartbroken that we were basically thrown out of the the store immediately after I had finally found the dress I was looking for. I apologized to my aunts and my mother-in-law for traveling so far to be treated so poorly and for our appointment to only be an hour and a half. I was willing to spend my hard earned money on the dress of my dreams, but now I have such ill feelings about my experience that I don’t think I will ever step foot in that store again. I hope that this doesn’t happen to another bride ever again, and I certainly hope that nobody has to feel as upset as I did on a day that is supposed to be happy...
Read moreJulian Gold is my favorite place to shop in all of San Antonio. They have similar brands to Saks or Neimans, but they also have some unique items your less likely to find at national department stores. Every sales associates I've worked with has been attentive and helpful. Some of my best purchases are items a sales associate has recommended for me.
I really appreciate the dressing rooms at Julian gold, they all have good lighting, a nice spot to put your purse, and a three way mirror. These kinds of details really enhance the shopping experience. Also, sales associates will bring you something to drink while you shop which is a nice touch.
Even though this is a high end store, the staff make it a welcoming environment. If you're looking for good deals, you have to make a point to come to their Margarita Sale...
Read moreI can’t say enough good things about Julian Gold Bridal - they are incredible!!! I had the best experience with Melinda, Yolanda and Sadé. They went above and beyond, have so much knowledge and experience, and were so flexible and communicative throughout the entire process.
I purchased both my rehearsal dinner and wedding dress here. For the wedding dress, they saved the day. Long story short, they were able to have my dream dress ready in a few days, alterations and all. Miracle workers!
The in-house tailors are also so talented and make it very convenient to have it all done there. The experience at Julian Gold is in a different league. They truly love what they do and have the most...
