I am so discouraged with hallmark. Not sure I'll ever shop there again. Six months ago, I bought 2 mugs online as a gift for Christmas which were poorly packaged & broken when they arrived (although I do understand it's not the stores fault, but the warehouse), I brought them to the nearest store by me to return them. When I got there the employee rudely told me I had to package them and do it myself through a 3rd party, she wouldn't even help me with the process. I'm glad I was savvy enough to figure it out and they refunded me the money after I submitted picture so I luckily didn't have to return them. I decided to leave it alone since I know everyone is stressed during the holiday season. Today, 6 months later I went it to return a frame we got duplicates of as a gift. I saw the EXACT frame on the shelf and the employee says, "Oh, well we can't return that cause you have to go to the EXACT store you purchased it from. This lady owns 4 stores and that's not one of them." My aunt went through the work to send me the receipt and I'm not driving 2.5 hours to return it. I said to the employee, "you've got to be kidding me, this is only the 2nd time I've come to this store and I've had problems both times, this is a bit ridiculous." As I was walking out she was yelling at me and said, "No, IT'S NOT SHE DOESNT OWN THAT STORE!" I'm telling my aunt and my grandma I don't want anything from Hallmark anymore. I wish somewhere on their receipts this was communicated because I do like the uniqueness of their gifts, but it's not worth...
Read moreme and my other friend (both 19) walked into the Hallmark squishmallow hunting. We saw in the window that there was a pink caeydan which is extremely sought after and we both were very visibly excited. There are many squishmallows and we are both never seen that many square miles in one store. We walk in and immediately go to the caeydan and pick up the squishmallow. The store owner immediately tells us that it’s $80, as if she assumes that we are not able to afford it and assumes we will not purchase it. My friend was gonna buy it and had her full intents purchasing and no matter the cost. we start walking around and the woman again goes if you’re not going to buy it you need to put it away so other people can buy it. This made my friend extremely uncomfortable and she put it back as the woman was making us feel extremely unwelcomed and being super unfriendly. We then walked around and saw a little bit more and felt she was staring at us and wanting us to simply leave. I have NEVER been treated with such unkindness out of store. I will never go to this Hallmark store again, and I will also tell others to not go. this was extremely disappointing and it made me just feel very awful inside....
Read moreWe first entered the store excitedly as we were big fans of Squishmallows! However, we immediately noticed how unwelcome we felt. There was only one woman, who did not once smile, working there and it felt she was staring each of us down not asking if we needed help. During our transaction, she placed our one item in a bag which we then stated we didn’t require a bag. She then took out the item and carelessly threw the item on the counter. She didn’t even finish our transaction, and left the counter to stop some kids from shopping, then kicking them out cause their store apparently didn’t allow 16 year olds to shop there without their mother. This woman made our experience terrible and we wouldn’t visit again. You can tell they make most of their profit from selling Squishmallows since half their store were empty shelves. Would not recommend. Squish...
