On 1/27/2023, I went to Body Shop Fitness Center in Ontario, Oregon to buy a membership. Only after I had paid all of the various fees did they give me the contract to read and sign. After reading the contract, I noticed that it did not state the amount that would be charged to my credit card each month. I asked for that to be included in the contract so that there would be no misunderstanding regarding that amount with them or, if they ever sold the business, the new owners. Moreover it could create issues if the person that I worked with ever left and management wanted to change the monthly charge. The other concern I had was that the contract was not clear about how to cancel the membership if I needed to do so. For example, the contract stated that you could cancel your membership online, but it also stated that you MUST provide them with written notification of intent to cancel membership, and that it had to be sent to a Fruitland address. After voicing my confusion and seeking clarity from Mr. Brooks Medford, it was then that Mr. Medford got very defensive and confrontational with me. Instead of responding to the concerns raised, he simply said that he could not address the issues right then, but gave no indication of why, as the manager, he could not, or what he need to do in order to address them. I asked what time tomorrow would be a good time for me to come back to address my concerns, but instead was told that he (Mr. Brooks Medford) would give me a call later in the day so we could discuss my concerns. I waited all that day for him to call but he failed to do so. Since I had not received a call and they still had my money and I had no membership, I went back the next day to see if he was available, but I was told that he was in a meeting. I asked when would be a good time to come back, but was told that they did not know as he had another scheduled meeting later in the afternoon, but that they would let him know that I came by and would have him give me a call. I waited yet another day for Mr. Medford to give me a call that never came. I went back again the next day and was able to speak with him after waiting. However during that conversation he accused me of bad mouthing the business to other customers (I hadnāt spoken to any of them), accused me of coming in with an attitude, and was accusatory and demeaning toward me. Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat local gym that's open 24/7. They lack some amenities for recovery like a Sauna and whatnot, but they do have massage chairs, which is nice. A double-edged thing is they are a month to month gym, which is nice, but the upfront fees can be a little high... but for the area, it's a great gym with 3 close locations, and you get to keep the key fab soooo you've got that going for you. I would prefer not to be in a viewable fish bowl as I'm already in a glass case of my emotions, but I understand that without those windows, it's a dungeon... I'd almost rather the dungeon but to each thier own....

The price I guess is average, but I've seen cheaper fair prices. The equipment is worn and falling apart. The electrical aspect as in tv, connectivity, audio, does not work and nobody at the location knows how to fix anything. I really wish they would offer a modern water filtration system but all they have is a common water fountain. Improvement...
