Will never go in this store again. We were shopping and my 11 yr old daughter wanted to go in and my husband and I were talking outside with my other adult kids and sent my 15 yr old daughter inside ahead of us with my 11 yr old. The lady at the register yelled at them and told them they could not be in the store without an adult. My 15 yr old told her that we were right behind them and she continued to be rude and said they were not allowed in until we came in. We could see them. We were just outside the door and my 15 yr old watches her sister all the time so I knew she was well supervised. They are not small rambunctious children. My husband asked why she yelled at them and she said it was their policy. We have been in many build a bears in malls and seen children running all around and have never heard this. I asked what she considers a child and she said anyone under 18..really..my 16 yr old son can drive a car but not go onto a toy store alone? That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I wouldnt even give this place a one star - - - I have never been so dissapointed in a business as I have in this business. My granddaughter wanted to come and pick out a bear, we was visiting the area and the website at that time said they was closing at 8 pm on Friday. We got to the store at 6:05 pm and the store was closed. She was so hurt and cryed all evening. She was so excited all day to do this. Unfortunately we had to leave to go back home at 5 am the next morning. The website has since been corrected with the correct closing times however it broke my heart to see my granddaughter so upset. Thats a way to break a childs heart and her grandmothers. I know y'all make millions of dollars and this was just one 50-60 dollar sale you missed but her being so upset was just heartbreaking. it is a tradition for my mother in law to get her grandkids build a bear, and this visit was our first experience. margo swept us up when we came in and walked us through the process. she made my 4 year old daughter feel so special, validating all of her choices and encouraging her. my daughter was very very happy with her choices and loved the whole process. when margo heard we were from out of town, she took time to tell us parents when we could get good deals on accessories and said something that made me so emotional, “i hope this just encourages y’all’s connection and brings the whole family closer together”. i thought that was so sweet and really showed us where her joy and heart is. what a special visit! additionally, we had to come back by to get some more stuffing in our unicorn, margo remembered us and greeted us like family. loved...
