The Sugar Shack & Cafe — Restaurant in Orange Beach

Went in with my girlfriend on vacation... the guy working the counter is SO RUDE!!! If you're reading this review, save yourself and don't even bother trying to interact with the man working the counter. My girlfriend and I got 2 scoops to share from 1 cup, but we only got one spoon. Naturally, she asked if we could have a second spoon. The man acted as if to give us a second spoon, but instead reached over to give her an extremely small sample spoon. We asked if we could get a bigger spoon, but were responded to with a "NEXT!" My girlfriend then reached on top of the counter to get a spoon herself, then the man working the counter grabbed her hand aggressively (knocking over all the spoons and the cups) and says "MAAM DONT TOUCH THE SPOONS!" We left the building and got my mom involved and she handled the situation. She was also treated rudely, but EVENTUALLY we got a spoon. Never coming...

I was directed to this store because they sold Ice cream but left immediately! My family and I went in tonight and were told to pay at the register before getting our ice cream but then when we told the guy that we didn't know what we wanted he said to go on through the line. Then I witnessed a girl who worked there with messy curly, blue hair in her face, push her hair back, push her glasses up and then proceed to fix a customers ice cream. As she was scooping (with no gloves on) her long sleeved sweater got into the ice cream and she continued to scoop. Whenwe got up to the counter to order our ice cream the same thing happened so I asked her not to continue fixing my ice cream because it was not sanitary. She said she knew and there was nothing she could do about it. They should be reported to the health department! Will...

I was so hesitant to visit here because of the reviews about the customer service. However, we gave it a try and were definitely impressed. There was a mom and her daughter working and also a guy named Jake I believe. All 3 of them were super friendly. When we entered, Jake immediately approached and greeted us and started playing with my 10 month old. They even remembered us when we came back later in the evening for snacks and were super friendly then even though it was about 10 minutes until they closed. The food and service were 10/10! I had the cheeseburger and my son had the BLT. Both were delicious and fairly priced. We will...
