I don't have much jewelry myself, but I got my wedding band with him and was quite pleased. 3 women in my family use him for all their jewelry needs and rave about his craftsmanship. My sister who now lives out of state saves her jewelry needs for when she comes to visit just to have him work on things. My step mom has been going to him for many years and always recommends him to everyone. My soon to be wife was very happy with the work he did on her wedding band and plans to go to him for her jewelry needs. I'm pretty sure even my dad goes to him for the few things he has when they need some touch ups. I would recommend him to anyone who needs their jewelry worked on or created. Jon is truly an artist. He is labeled as a Goldsmith, but his knowledge base and artistic craftsmanshift extend beyond this simplified label. I happened upon a large quantity of high quality loose Ethiopian opals. I called around OC and some "reputable" jewelers claimed to have the knowledge and skill set required to properly work with this difficult and complex type of gemstone to set them and create pieces of wearable jewelry. I quickly determined that he knew far more than these "top" jewelry marketing machines. He expertly crafted some of the finest work I have ever seen, including collaborating with a colleague to execute a complex and risky modification of one of the jewels with a drill. I can’t say enough good things about Jon! Over the last few years, I have had him create many custom gold jewelry pieces. He redid my engagement ring to a new design with my original stone, we bought diamond studs from him, and custom pendants as well. He can fix any broken item! If you have any jewelry that you are no longer fond of, he can take the gold and use for a new piece. When making a custom piece, he can create a rendering in CAD, and print a mold on a 3D printer to cast a piece exactly to your specifications.
