Finally visited Saiga Vietnamese Eatery’s 2nd location! And it’s closer to me! Parking: They’re located in a big plaza with plenty of free parking. Easy to find. Ambiance/Environment: I really like their new location. Unlike the Irvine location, this is a bigger space with more seating, open windows, and limited outdoor seating. Very clean inside. They also have a bathroom for customers with a code. Service: It is still self order via the kiosks. If you have any questions, you can simply ask. After ordering, they’ll call your name to pick up your food at the counter (if you ordered to-go). But if you ordered to dine-in, a worker will bring you your food. Throughput was approx. 10-15 minutes. Food & Drinks: We wanted to try something new from their menu. I noticed they’ve added a few new items. 1) Chicken Bowl - chicken served with jasmine rice, cabbage slaw, cucumbers, pickled carrots, and green aioli. I always drench everything with the green aioli. The sauce isn’t too thick or liquidy. The chicken was cooked well and seasoned perfectly. Not too salty. 2) Chicken Vermicelli with egg roll - chicken with vermicelli, garlic oil, lettuce, cucumbers, mint, pickled carrots, & fish sauce. I also drench everything with the fish sauce. They were very generous with the amount of sauce given. The chicken was also cooked well. I liked the skin of this chicken because you can taste its seasoning. All the flavors went well together. 3) Blended Coconut Coffee - This was definitely thick, so I let it sit for a while. The coconut taste came through, but it didn’t overpower the coffee. It wasn’t too sweet. Good for a quick pick-me-up caffeine. 4) Lemon Guava Green Tea - This was so refreshing! The guava taste was strong. It tasted earthy and delicious. Pricing: It could be on the pricier $$$ side, but I’d say it’s worth it because they give you a good amount. This spot is perfect for a quick lunch bite, grab something sweet, or pick up some Viet coffee to stay awake for the day.

Getting out of my comfort zone I had to check out Saiga Vietnamese Eatery in the City of Orange and I had no regrets. There three simple goals here at Saiga Eatery, make it fresh from scratch and serve quickly. With that said I aimed for 4 items. 1. Combination Pho - Which had slices of Fatty Brisket and Filet Mignon. Sipping broth I was impressed with the aromatics and flavor considering they don’t use msg. Which is fine as long as you can bring out the umami, and they did by oven roasting their spices prior to steeping them into the bone broth for 24 hoursđŸ”„đŸœ. With the simple take on herbs I enjoyed adding the basil and bean sprouts to add more flavor and freshness. 2. Pork Belly Banh Mi - If you like the crunch of roasted pork belly and a fresh baguette đŸ„– then this sandwich is for you. With pickled and Julianne’d carrots, cilantro, sliced jalapeños đŸŒ¶ïž and a spread of their homemade mayo and soy sauce on the crunchy baguette, its a perfect combo with their crispy roasted pork belly đŸ„“đŸ”„ 3. Garlic Noodles 🧄 - Wheat noodles in a roasted garlic butter and parsley had a savory and slight sweetness to it. To mix it up a little bit I added bbq chicken and it was nicely marinated and pouring the green sauce it had a savory, sweet and slight kick. 4. Blended Coconut Thai Tea - exactly what it says but in a smoothie blended form. The mixture was a sweet wonderful pairing between the two.

So excited for this new location and it was a familiar spot to me. It used to be Hiccups!!! I love Saiga and I was excited to finally try items that I haven’t tried at their Irvine location. I ordered 2 banh mi’s (Pork belly and BBQ chicken), and the BBQ chicken garlic noodles. For drinks, it was a no-brainer, I always go for Thai tea if any place has it and the Jasmine Lychee tea. The banh mi was so good, it’s all about the bread in my opinion. It wasn’t overly toasted like most places do and it was just the perfect softness. The pork belly and chicken were delicious, I would definitely get these again. The noodles were yummy as well, definitely gave enough and was plentiful. The drinks were really good and refreshing and just perfect to go with the food. I really wish I ordered the cookies cuz I remembered how good it was and I also love popcorn chicken so next time I will definitely add that to my order. I’m so happy they added another location and congrats to them because that means they are doing well and they deserve it! Everything here is so good. Oh and the best thing, I ordered everything through their kiosk and it was so simple!!!!! Only thing I would add is there was no option for light ice or no ice for the drinks. Other than that, super simple which I love and food came out quick.

It's like the Irvine location but with a bit more seating both inside and outside! This one has a bit more cafe vibes and it's very fun!

Come in during the soft opening and you'll be able to get 20% off your meal, and if you spend more than $50, you'll get a free reusable bag!

They don't have the full menu yet, but I did see they have an espresso machine so after opening you'll be able to get a latte!

Everyone there is really nice! Just like the Irvine location, you'll be ordering from an iPad type device. But you can still do all the customizations you need!

The difference between Irvine and Orange, is the Orange location does not have Kimchi Fried Rice and Pho as of right now, but it's okay, the rest of the food is amazing!

Now for the food:

🍚 Rice bowl with bbq chicken - that chicken, it's super tender, juicy, and full of flavor, then you get the rice bowl with the cabbage slaw, cucumbers, picked carrots and the green aoli to go with it, the flavors are amazing all around!

🍚Vermicelli with grilled pork - listen, I love the pork belly, but oh my goodness is this grilled pork is something else. It has a nice char flavor to it. This comes with an egg roll! That's exciting! But mixing the veggies and the sauce with the meat and the vermicelli just makes it amazing!

🍚 Popcorn Chicken - I LOVE popcorn chicken, and this one doesn't disappoint! It's seasoned beautifully, it's juicy, and the sauce with it is great! Is you can, get some of this!

Try going during the soft opening! It's great, food is amazing, and also 20% off is a...
