My son had food poisoning yesterday (6/19/21) from eating the New York steamer. Unfortunately, so did his WaterPolo teammates. We've always been supportive for Firehouse Subs, but I think we will reconsider when eating between tournament games. I'll just note we have been in the food service industry a very long time with high emphasis in food safety, our kids have a couple food allergies, and we don't eat out unless necessary. It was without a doubt this place that had my son doubled up in pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea for 24hrs. Onset symptoms of nausea within 1hr of consumption. Read moreSo this is my clear favorite sandwich shop, even when compared to Board & Brew. Blows Jersey Mike's out of the water. Occasionally they won't even charge for extra cheese and I always tip on those events even if it costs more than if they did charge. The club on a Sub is my go to and a large is easily two meals for me. Its right next to Blaze Pizza which is the other place I eat out the most at, so when I run out of food they are the go to as I can order a pizza, walk over and get my sub, and come back right as the pizza is ready. Read moreStopped for lunch yesterday and found out to be meh. The layout is awful, with the register at the back and nothing to do... Anyone that has been to Subway, Togos or any other sandwich shop would expect to order and have it made. Then pay at the end.
The Coke freestyle dispenser I could see being backed up during a busy lunch as people want to mix custom combinations.
I had the turkey cranberry and it was decent, but I could not find the cheese in it, my wife said it is in the light menu so they probably didn't put much on.
My wife was not impressed with her sandwich either.
