I've been working with my photo developer since I first picked up photography, and he's been an invaluable resource. As a beginner, I ran into issues—blank reels, botched exposures—but he always took the time to help me troubleshoot. He even taught me how to roll my own film. His passion for photography shows in everything he does: it's in the way he talks about gear, the care he puts into each scan, and the joy he has in talking shop—even if you know deep down that your knowledge doesn't come close to his. The quality is second to none. He hand-scans 110 film, offers flexibility with pushing and pulling, and uses a Noritsu to produce scans that consistently match what I actually shot. I have been a photographer for over 50 years and got back into film photography about 10 years ago. I normally sent my film off to well known labs in California and Florida. By accident on google maps one day I found Brooktree Film Lab, a short drive away, so gave them a try. Now, after over a dozen rolls of film processed and scanned I am very impressed with the quality as well as turn around time. All my film will now be going to this team. My last trip to them was a real test. I dropped off 4 rolls of 55 year 120 Verichrome as well as a 20 year old roll of 120 Kodacolor 200. The results were the best I have ever seen from any lab I have used for well out of date films. Since I drop off and pickup my film I see the work area and it is very clean and organized. The folks there are also very welcoming when dropping off and picking up film despite being busy with processing film. ...

I can really notice all the details and attention that is put into each and every photo, and this is something that other places don't do that Brooktree does!
