If there was a 0 star option I would select. NEVER list your home for sale thru this company. I had requested images be changed on a Craigslist ad on my home I had listed for sale with their company, and inquired why only 2 images were listed on mhvillage. Instead of reaching out to me informing me they only pay for 2 images to be listed they simply removed my home from even being listed for sale. Two days later I call to the main office, where I was given incorrect information on how to contact my realtor. When my realtor calls me I get hammered about why I called the main office twice, which one of the phone calls was to inform them they are giving out incorrect information. First was why my home was no longer listed.... I asked if my realtor could list more images on the Craigslist ad showcasing my home and my investment. Asked if they could take down 5 images of my kitchen counter and replace with images of my bathroom, backyard and cobblestone walk way, and in response I was told "this isn't working were going to have to let you go as a selling customer". Why? If I'm paying 4 thousand dollars on a craigslist ad of images of my kitchen counter, and in return get laughed at when I request my realtor change up the ad a bit saying "no one cares about bathrooms, this isn't working were no longer going to list your home for sale." I dont care if I want a circus in my front yard, if your getting 4 thousand dollars to list my home for sale and a simple request to change images, or a simple question comes your way, you should listen to what the paying customer wants. I was told my home was also listed on their website for sale, which had complete incorrect information. Heaven forbid I correct them to in turn, be laughed at or removed from being listed in general when days go by with no answers and no "hey fyi your house isn't listed for sale." Was promised zillow, rmls, and weeks go by to find out they dont pay for those listing so here we go to Craigslist and their own website...for again 4 thousand dollars. I was so frustrated I came home to remove the J&M signs from outside my house to then find out they used large nails to post their signs into the siding of my house which I now have to pay for out of pocket to repair! Not to mention, the money I again have to pay for more landscaping and GOOD images of my home to be listed for sale with a better qualified company! I'm again out of all that money and investment! I have lost out on homes I put offers in due to my contingency of my home. I now have 30 days to find a new agency to list my home and sell or I will be homeless. I'm a single mother that works hard for what I have. This company is a joke and does NOT care about your home or your investment.. or your life.
NEVER LIST YOUR HOME FOR SALE THRU THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL BE SCREWED OVER AND JERKED AROUND AND BE HOMELESS IN THE END. THIS COMPANY IS TRULY...
Read moreFollowing the 1 year anniversary of our house fire, I realized that I had yet to leave a review reflecting on the experience of buying with J&M. We have lived in our new home for roughly 6 months and we are finally begging to truly settle in. Sonya Dollens coordinated the purchase of our home. She helped to answer the endless barrage of questions that I had through the entire process. As I am very particular, my questions were far ranging and frequent. Yet, Sonya never failed to answer or return my calls promptly. She always followed up on emails & followed through with answers to my questions. Sonya went to bat for us, both within her own office and when dealing with third parties. She was such a delight to work with and had a great way of cutting through the bs & managing expectations. I would highly recommend her excellent services to anyone looking to purchase a new manufactured home. Also, a special thanks to Sharene. While our communication was limited to the final close up process & contractor coordination, she really helped us out with getting us into our new home as quickly as possible. She worked with us and contractors despite some unforeseen/short term delays. My recommendation to anyone looking to purchase a new manufactured home is to pay attention to who has what responsibility & be vigilant. Don't be afraid to ask what may seem to be a stupid question. It will pay dividends in the end.
Thanks again,...
Read moreI will not go into details on google, I will say do not use this company to sell your used manufactured home. Antiquated advertising and non-standard sales methodology make this company severely out of date and not even remotely competitive in the real estate world.
We listed through another broker with Zillow and RMLS access and had more people in one day come through my home than this company could get in 3 months. The sales people were friendly, just out of touch with modern advertising and marketing. According to our first listing agent, it is the implicit policy of J&M homes not to utilize 3rd party listing services, our second listing agent did use a few others, but could not figure out how to use Zillow.
Furthermore, the earnest money agreements are worth no more than the paper they are written on, we had two failed sales, both because of the buyers failing to meet qualification criteria. By every measure of the law, the 2nd buyer should have never received their earnest money back, overshooting contractual deadlines by a week, late addendum and ultimately failed acceptance to the community where our house was, and they still got all of their earnest money back.
We wasted 3 good months of our lives with this company, lots of undue stress and anxiety, all for nothing in the end. Maybe this company is good for new homes, but i would once again not recommend for...
