Meijer — Local services in Orion Charter Township

I'm so excited that this Meijer opened! I heard about it and was excited that not only a location in this area was coming along, but that it was a smaller, more market place type instead of a gigantic location.

Walking in, the place is clean, well lit and tons of staff were around. the deli and bakery area had tons of food to choose from. Not only fresh produce, but lots of prepared foods as well. Great selection and prices of items, well organized and easy to see.

The wine section here is tremendous. It seems bigger than most, and I really liked that. I cruised through but didn't buy any. The freezer section had tons of stock and the aisles were wide and easy to navigate. They also have household items like detergent, toys and other items as well.

The checkout area had a large selection of self service stations and registers with employees. Since I only had a few items, I did self checkout. The parking lots a bit tight, but doable. You just might have to circle a minute before finding a space.

There's lot of good things about this place being here. I don't come to Lake Orion a lot, but I do occasionally cruise through here from time to time, and never really saw a grocery store (outside of stupid Kroger) in the area. Thanks for being here...

I have been in this store four times and each time I have went through the self checkout I have had trouble and had to wait for an employee to come and re-ring my order and twice I have put in $100 bill in the register and it did not accept it and I had to wait a half an hour and go through four employees even management to get my $100 bill out and they said that I would have to come back the next day to get my change and I had to ask them again to look for it and of course they found it and I have had nothing but rudeness and trouble in this store and then again today I go into the store and I'm waiting 15 minutes at the customer service check out to get a money order and no one is available I asked another employee she said somebody would be up there with me nobody has came up there to customers behind me have waited in line and left because nobody there finally the self checkout employee came up there and got me my money orders after being there for 20 minutes. I have always been a meijer's customer and go to the Oxford location but I have been in the area and went to the store and got nothing but rude employees and management .I will not shop at this location again and we'll let all friends and family know...

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I had such an amazing experience at the Lake Orion Meijer Pharmacy a couple weeks ago that I decided to try the bakery too and WOW! Two departments with absolutely top-notch service in one store? I am so happy and impressed.

I called this past Wednesday to order cupcakes for my son’s birthday and Tammy in the bakery was so sweet and helpful, even though she was clearly busy. She made me feel like I was her only customer. Today I picked up the perfect cupcakes and my order was so cute and exactly what I hoped for. Additionally, Gayle at the register greeted me with a genuine smile, which sounds simple but is so rare these days. That kind of kindness really stuck with me.

I’ve been to multiple Meijer stores across SE Michigan—Hall Rd, 26 Mile, Oxford, and South Rochester. Lake Orion is hands down the best. This store has restored my faith that real customer service still exists.
