I purchased a leopard gecko here almost half a year ago. The service was great as well as their selection of products and reptiles themselves. I was very satisfied... that is until I brought home my gecko and she refused to eat, became lethargic, and to top it all off she laid an egg. Thinking it was all over I waited until she got better. But that never happened. After all my worrying I finally took her to the vet and it was confirmed she still had two eggs stuck in her AND most likely had parasites. I got medication for her, gave her it for about four weeks, she was able to get the eggs out, and I'm happy to say she's on a steady diet and is happy and healthy. However I am very upset that the store put two female and one male gecko together for them to be purchased. I believe that if they were trying to breed them they should be put away somewhere separately or if not breeding them to keep the male in a separate tank. Otherwise pregnant geckos may be sold to inexperienced owners. Other than this incident, the staff seemed very knowledgeable, and the store itself is very nice so that's why I'm not giving this review a one star. At least now I know to think about the gender of tank mates but other people might not as well and the mistake will just be repeated. In short: I recommend the store in general, but highly advise to research as much as you possibly can about the animal you are buying and if you have ANY doubt, to look...
Read moreI had high hopes for this place A good friend of mine got his bearded dragon from there years ago and would get his crickets and things from here so I felt I could trust this place to buy my son his first bearded dragon for his birthday I can say once I entered the place I saw alot of new faces. I wasn’t given much information on how to care for a bearded dragon the guy who sold me the BD just put him in a paper bag gave me a book on bearded dragons and told me everything I need to know is in this book. 2 days later my fiancé called them asking if it was ok to to have the BD with a red heating bulb , whoever answered said yes , loose substrate was fine , feeding the BD lettuce was fine. Then I go to purchase crickets and they told me my 3 month old bearded dragon was ok to eat large size crickets I soon later come to find out all this was not 100% correct for my bearded dragon ... fast forward my bearded dragon tested positive for coccidia, krypto and pin worms. I’m very disappointed with this place and the reviews I am now reading of others who seem to have been dealing with the same problem. Never again will I ever come to this place and I hope others are careful when thinking of getting a...
Read moreI highly recommend not purchasing anything from them ever again!
We bought isopods from them over the weekend and found mites in them, when I called them to inform them of this they asked what kind of mites they were. I told them that since there are so many types of mites I honestly had no idea but they were clearly not harmless wood mites as I had dealt with them before. The man on the phone says that they have plenty of isopods and sell them all the time with no problem AND that they are harmless mites. So he is saying that he knowingly sells mite infested isopods to his customers, ok dude.
I can assure you all they do not look like harmless mites at all. Not to mention the better than you attitude they continue to give to us every time we shop there. If you are going to be in the customer service industry you need to learn how to talk to people!
I have a lot of issues with them from the fact that they sell wild caught reptiles to the fact that they breed spider morph BPs. Why this was the straw that broke the camels back for me I don’t know but it did and...
