Fatties Pub — Restaurant in Orland Township

Attempted to pay my tab for over 30 minutes because the bartender was obviously under the influence and having side conversations with other coworkers and patrons. Literally told the same bartender 6 or 7 times what the last name on my card was. Then she serves beer to people sitting right next to me, 10 minutes after last call. I then asked for a beer since I've been waiting all this time to close out and she starts to be belligerent with me and others customers who have been patiently waiting for over 30 minutes to close their tabs as well. Had to get another bartender to find my card because my original bartender was unable to do the simplest task, and also took out her self-made frustrations on us. I will no longer be wasting my time or my money at this place, and I will be telling the dozens of softball players that accompany me to find a other place to go to...

Dropped in for a drink and a snack before meeting friends...

Food was OK, though it took 25 minutes to get fried pickles when there wasn't much food coming out of the kitchen 🤷‍♂️.

Bartender was nice and attentive, and people were having lots of fun with the shots wheel.

But... I do have to mention, since this certainly matters to some folks to know ahead of time, it was not a very... diverse... crowd. Counted 70+ people in the place and myself as the only, uh... ethnic outlier?

Owners also chose to advertise their political stance, which was a bummer (you can be the judge as to why).

But hey, maybe the above is your cup of tea, in which case I'd imagine you'll have a good time here!

Being forthright though, regardless of how the crowd was quite counter to the area's demographic, I personally had no issues here (midday on a Sunday), but certainly not a place...

Just moved to the neighborhood sat down and was denied service. I had a winter hat on due to cold weather. I was told by a tall stocky employee "the owner doesn't like them I had to remove it or leave but was told baseball caps are ok". I then asked if that was even legal and was informed "the owner is good friends with Orland hills police so what ever he says goes in this town" this is a bar in a strip mall. Denying business because you don't like someone's winter hat. That's a head scratcher. I am actual glad it occurred so I don't give them my business.
