Lupe Martinez was the Design Consultant that helped me furnish the living room for my first home. She is not only knowledgeable at what she does but always presented herself as very professional. Lupe was an extra set of eyes that noticed things I did not, such as the over all picture and what the furniture would look like when delivered. She reminded me over and over that the wallpaper was the focus and the furniture should not overpower the wallpaper design.
Her 3D technology skills were so helpful in the initial stages as I planned but she designed the space! All of this came about because she took the time to view the space, discuss my style, inquire about what made me excited and how I wanted the living space to look and feel. I would sit on a couch and say “this is comfortable-I will purchase it” but Lupe kept letting me know ALL the options available for the best purchase for me. That takes professionalism, time and patience. I applaud Ethan Allan for their well trained and high caliber of staff they offer to their customers. For some companies, the pandemic has made communication obsolete but Lupe did not disappoint. She bent over backwards to meet with me several times to discuss and pull-out numerous fabric samples. I do not enjoy shopping and buying furniture is overwhelming but her smile, availability, unwavering patience, no pressure attitude and receptiveness to MY NEEDS made the entire process enjoyable.
I am so pleased with my purchases. In the future, there are additional items to buy and I will be calling Lupe and the Ethan Allan Team for their advice and...
Read moreUnfortunately, we had a poor experience with Ethan Allen this time around. We ordered a large wall mirror which over time developed a crack in the glass. As the crack started under the frame and spread into the visible part of the mirror, the sales person, manager, and I felt that the mirror probably had a defect that spread over time. Ethan Allen refused to replace the mirror, but after going back-and-forth many times, they agreed to give us the floor sample as a replacement. The floor sample had several scratches in the frame, but we agreed to it as that was preferable to having a mirror with a crack in the glass. My husband and I who are 77 and 73 years old respectively, had to box the mirror (luckily we still had the original box), take it to the store as they would not pick it up, even though we had paid an exorbitant amount for home delivery. When we arrived at the store, we started to take the sample mirror off the wall until I commented and finally the store assistants helped. At the time that we purchased the mirror, we also purchased a large expensive wall picture. Approximately two years ago, we bought our family room furniture from Ethan Allen, and many years before that our bedroom set. I was working with the sales person to purchase another large wall picture, but given our experience with the mirror, we chose not to move forward with it. I was surprised that Ethan Allen chose to loose a customer over a rather small purchase compared to larger past purchases and a...
Read moreWe were looking for a grown-up sofa, but as we shopped around found our style was just not as formal or modern as a lot of the mid- to higher-end places focused on. On a whim we stopped by Ethan Allen, thinking it was probably out of our price range. To our surprise, EA had a great selection of quality, classic furniture that was not more expensive than other places we'd looked. We worked with "D," who was awesome. Walked us through options, listened to our feedback. Helped us pick a sofa and fabric that worked for our lifestyle and budget. Gave us realistic (and accurate) expectations on delivery timing. Delivery was very smooth, from the text updates, to the courtesy call when they were close, to the careful delivery into our living room. We love our couch. It's sturdy, comfortable, and attractive. Will definitely be going back to EA when we're ready for our next grown-up piece...
