Floor & Decor — Local services in Bremen Township

I REALLY REALLY like this place. I am a 2nd generation contractor. Have been working alongside my dad for 20 years. I remember going to Home Depot for tile 🙄 Or for heavens sake MENARDS(even NOW the tile selection at Menards🤦🏼‍♂️.. Its a joke really)..... Finally some times 10 years or so ago, I was introduced/went to my first Floor and Decor... And WOW.... The place is HUGE. Almost OVERWHELMING. Haha. Thats a good thing because any idea plan that i may have, or more importantly a customer has... I can almost be sure they will find what they are looking for, AND itll be in stock more than likely... Also, most Floor and Decor Stores have nice employees, which ALWAYS helps the shopping experience, ALTHOUGH......

I HAVE to say. The NEW Tinley Park location is new, and yet... This is FOR SURE my "Go-To" location. The employees there just go way over and beyond to help. And its been more than once for me now. PHIL, the tile manager, is my GO TO guy there. My last time there, there was a mix-up with my order. PHIL called me in the morning to explain the mistake that was made, and offered me multiple ways to solve the problem. Told me to come in ANY time hes there and that we'd get things fixed right away. I got there late Friday.. 1hr before close and the store was RIDICULOUSLY PACKED with customers... And almost all were making BIG purchases needing stuff taken down, loaded, people had questions only he could answer(or knew how to i guess?) Anyways overall he asked if i can come the next morning because of how busy it was.. I needed the material ASAP so he ended up staying LATE and helping me with everything.... The amount this man worked.. The # of people he helped.. It was NOTICABLE that this man was TRYING HIS BEST and giving it 110% and for that. He deserves someone mentioning something about him. Its not everyday an employee is that way anymore..... Also before ending. I have to mention that there is a female employee named ERICA and she is also fanatasic. She helped me with a few things ALL WHILE she was running around helping everyone she can as well. So she deserves to be noticed, mentioned, and appreciated for her hard work.... DEFINITELY will come back to shop here again.. hope to run into Phil and Erica once more thanks again guys

(Thanks for the reply) I just did want to mention this again as Phil was the MAIN character in helping me, and everyone around. ERICA was alongside him helping everyone else as well. She usuaully is always there. And when i see her, i know that i can be sure shell be very helpful patient and sounds pretty knowledgeable about flooring. But more importantly.. Its visibly clear that ERICA CARES about all the people at F&D. She WANTS to learn as much as she can about her job.. And is a pleasure to work with.

For sure PHIL was fhe cat that blew me way. But ERICA is his right hand gal... Its kinda like...

PHIL = BATMAN ERICA = ROBIN Both make a great team, and its because of employees like this that make me willingly drive an extra 20min to go to TINLEY PARK location vs. Others (Other location are good, but never experienced as good service as i have at NEW TINLEY PARK store)

I’m an owner of construction business named KH remodeling inc. I’ve been a constant costumer and I’ve spent thousands in this store almost all my material I need for my work I buy it from here. However yesterday on Jan 30, 2024 I made an order of tiles and granite and picked it up from the store however when I reached my working place I found out that some of the tiles that I ordered are missing and the granite that they put under the tiles is broken. So I was forced to go back to the store to get my missing tiles and to replace the granite. First of all they didn’t believe me that I was missing tiles even though I had the receipt and they told me that they will not replace the granite because it’s my problem. Daija is an assistant manger in the tiles department she had an attitude, made me late for work for 30 minutes just so they can check the cameras even though it’s obvious that they messed up my order. And told me that they won’t replace the tiles without explanation or even an apology. All the other places that I buy from would replace what’s broken since they’re the ones that placed it under the tiles and them missing stuff from my order that they made me pay for and on top of that disrespecting me and my time and I didn’t hear one apology what’s so ever. I don’t think I’ll ever come back to this store as long as they have...

My husband & I heard about Floor & decor from my cousin up north since we are in the process of remodeling our bathroom shower. We came in from 45 mins away in bourbonnais only to go to that store as potential new customers, but unfortunately their employees are extremely unprofessional. We were sick of waiting around for no help and another employee told us a "design consultant" was busy with 2 other customers so we wrote our name in the log book they recommend and went out to eat. 2 hours later my husband gets a call from a women name Sue & as soon as he got off the phone with her he said her attitude was so bad that he is even unsure if he wants to go. We were still in town so he told her we would stop in. We stopped in and sat down with her and I immediately felt a bad tension with her too, talking to us like we are morons wasting her time. She had no interest in properly explaining to us how this process works, our shower ideas, or questions. It was so bad that I had to stop the conversation abruptly and say "well thank you, but we will not be back" and we started walking out of the store. I have worked in customer service for 15 years now and this was unacceptable. We will never recommend nor go to floor...
