Tried this place for first time. Staff was friendly, owner was nice and offered free samples of falafel and even handed us a stuffed spinach pie as we were leaving. The shawarma was great. We usually go with chicken but we ordered a mixed shawarma to get a taste of both. Chicken did not disappoint, but steak? Man it was one of the best I ever had (2nd best to be honest, globally). It is obvious that they take care of the quality of what they put in cusotmers' food. Zinger was the best I've ever had in the US. Spinach was also the best, and the Zarar w/Cheese taboon was fabulous. One little note we had was that their shawarma sandwiches could take a little more sauce to compliment the other high quality ingredients. We felt it was a little dry. They gave us sauce on the side though. What distinguishes their shawarma from others is that it is NOT greasy (which is probably why we felt it needed more sauce). Ah and not to forget, the falafel samples we tried were awesome. You can tell by the color and flavor of the inside that they really care about quality. We plan to give them another visit to try other menu items especially saj and taboon. My advice is to consider adding Pizza to their menu. With the great taste of their dough and hopefully some hahal meats, I bet they will be the best in town. I just hope they stick to their current quality and prices and don't follow the other places that started strong and declined in quality (while charging more) in the past few years. 5...
Read moreEdit: I hate to do this but, I have to retract my previous review because my last visit, I did not have a good experience. Me & my children’s father ordered 2 falafel bowls, an order of Jerusalem Salad, and a potato & parsley saj. When we got home, we realized that we did not have the potato & parsley saj. I called the restaurant to let them know & the young lady that rings us up answered the phone. I began to tell her that we didn’t receive the saj & she proceeds to say over & over, “I can’t hear you. Hello. Sorry, I can’t hear you.” So, I hung up & called right back, just in case, there was in fact a bad connection. This time, no one picked up the phone. I called back again…no answer. It almost seems as if she knew that they forgot part of our order, and didn’t want to deal with the situation. & in my opinion, that’s a horrible way to treat your customers. I loved this place because they were so nice, provided great customer service & great food but, this experience was not ok. Also, may I add…the Jerusalem salad tasted as if it wasn’t fresh this time around. Normally, it is delicious but, the veggies in the salad tasted like they were fermented, which makes me feel like it wasn’t fresh…so, we did have to throw it away.
Visited this place for the first time a couple of weeks ago & it was so good, that I had to come back the next day. Also, the owners are so, so nice! Excellent customer service & delicious food is a combo that will always keep me...
Read moreWent in and was immediately greeted which made me feel welcomed. They were making fresh pita. I ordered a chicken shawarma meal and was told it would be a little cause it was fresh which I had no problem waiting I wasn’t in a rush. I was then given a sample of the lentil soup while I waited and it was so tasty. I have been studying Arabic for the last 7 months and took a chance speaking with the employees in Arabic and they were very supportive and encouraging which made me feel very welcomed. They also gave me a sample of the grilled chicken and rice and it made me question my decision of the shawarma because of how good it was. When my food arrived I was pleasantly surprised with how much they give and how good the prices are. They also let me try something they made which wasn’t on the menu but was super good (basically zinger fries). 10/10 would recommend this place and will definitely be...
