I came here for a simple reading by Kelly and was given NONE and then I was robbed of $60. She took me in her room she then proceeded to LIE to me repeatedly about her involvement in Voodoo. She lied and claimed to have lived in New Orleans for years and to have studied under a relative of Marie. I was absolutely sickened. Kelly is not aware that I know people in old circles and had prior to meeting her already known she had never step foot in New Orleans. I sat there watching her treat me as if I was some fool. She gave no reading as prior to my visit she had only briefly read up on Papa Legba to assist in her giving me a false reading which would be convincing. But the truth is she knows nothing of our world. When I stated I was there for something else I watched her panic. She did not know what to say and had zero material to give a convincing reading so in front of me she resorted to googling the man’s name on her cellphone. No tarot was done at all. When I told her he had disappeared she insisted on seeing him on my phone. All I had was a short video of him that was 30 seconds long - from the short video she knew nothing but would not give my phone back. When I had to ask her for my phone back because she had it abnormally long I seen that she kept it so long because she had scrolled through about 15 videos on my PRIVATE CELL PHONE looking for something to use to scam me. I REPEATEDLY told her I wanted to leave as this was just not working. I was extremely offended and insulted by what she was doing which she knew but didn’t care. When we left her little room she put on a “show” for the woman behind the counter ranting on about Papa Legba which we hadn’t even discussed as this had nothing to do with why I was there. Kelly is what we call a BROKEN KEY the equivalent to a FALSE PROPHET. Your shop took $60 of HARAM MONEY. There is a...
Read moreThe second I walked into the door at Holistic Happenings, I immediately felt uplifted. I was greeted by Tracy, who gave me such an unexpected but MUCH needed positive experience while there. I absolutely loved her energy and authenticity. Tracy guided me through her “Intuitive Gem Stone Selection Process” (name trademarked by Tracy & I). Without looking at the name and description tags, or even the gem stones themselves, Tracy suggested that I feel around the gems and allow myself to connect with which ever I felt drawn to or charged by. Then I simply set them on the table and continued on through the rest. The one thing I appreciated most about this process was how personal it felt. I have been working on developing my intuition more and this was such a fun exercise toward doing so. Once I had selected my gemstones, Tracy encouraged me to look up their meanings in a few of the books they had near by. So not only did I feel like I had found MY gemstones, but Tracy helped me become a bit more educated on their origins as well. Additionally, Tracy helped me cleanse the gemstones before leaving.
I could go on about how amazing my first time at Holistic Happenings was but I highly recommend others go and experience all they have to offer themselves! If you have the pleasure of meeting Tracy while you’re there, know that you’re in great hands!
I look forward to going back this Thursday for my first Reiki healing session with Kim as well! :)
I briefly met the owner, Bob, in passing and just wanted to say thank you to him for keeping the store open!

Read moreI stopped by Holistic Happenings recently to grab some apache tear crystals as I am going through some grieving having just lost a beloved pet. I had only been in the shop one other time and it was a nice experience. In fact, I was really looking forward to booking some kind of healing and/or bodywork in the future with one of the shop's practitioners because, on the surface, the space felt inviting. This recent visit was completely different. When I walked in, there was one customer standing at the front counter. The woman (employee) behind the counter did not even acknowledge the fact I walked in because she was in the middle of a political diatribe regarding Russia, Ukraine, Crimea and the fact that our current president was the worst president in history.
Now, I am totally ok with people having their own political opinions. But this is supposedly a place of healing, of spirituality, guidance, acceptance, and warmth as I would think any business of this nature would be. In my experience, 'holistic'-minded businesses were never places to receive the rantings of an employee lecturing customers on her own political views.
It was off-putting and awful, to be honest. Definitely a business I do not see myself...
