After being fitted for tuxedos 16 times throughout my life, for various weddings, dealing with the Men Wearhouse, was the WORST tuxedo fitting / returning experience I have EVER had !!!! To begin with, I went in for a fitting at the Oak Lawn store February 22, 2019. The employees at this location do NOT believe in using a tape to check my chest, sleeve length, inseam, etc. Instead, they have me try on a dozen pants, shirts, jackets, and shoes, until I get close to the size I need. My normal shoe size is 12. They were trying to convince me that I needed a 16. Instead, they order a 14, and told me that the shoes would fit better without my cotton socks (that I was wearing with my running shoes that day). I picked up the tux the evening before the wedding, and did NOT have the time to try it on, as I was running extremely late for other errands. The day of the wedding, my shirt sleeves were too short, my jacket sleeves were too short, and my feet are STILL killing me from the "size 14" shoe that when I compared to my size 12 sneaker was much much smaller in size !! To add insult to my injury (no pun intended) I returned the tux to the Orland Park store, where basically was made to feel like it was MY fault for not trying it on when I picked it up. I even showed them the difference in shoe size right there in the store. I am assuming that it was the manager that walked over to me in the store as I was voicing my complaint (I wouldn't know because this IGNORANT person didn't introduce himself). He told me that they would pass my concerns onto the 95th street store, but that there was nothing he could do for me. I thought that the slogan for this establishment was "You're Gonna Love the Way You Look, I Guarantee It". I would NEVER recommend the Men's Wearhouse to anyone. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Mike J....
Read moreFirst, Mr. Churchill III did an excellent job helping me find a suit, shirt and tie. Turns out I didn't need the suit, never even took it out of the bag, so I took it back the next morning for a refund. The manager told me they don't refund altered suits. That wasn't explained at the time of purchase, nor was it on the electronic receipt in my email (They hemmed the pant cuff. It's not like they altered the jacket and inseam. Just a minor hem). The manager said to take it to Oak Lawn, Bolingbrook or Joliet to see if they will accept it. I called Oak Lawn and that manager said "No, the manager where you bought it has to handle that. Each suit goes back to where it was bought." I feel like the Orland Park manager already knew that. Glad I didn't waste time driving over to Oak Lawn. I called back to Orland Park and the manager talked to me in a serious tone as if I was trying to get away with something. I called Customer Service, they put me on hold and spoke with him to ask him to refund me, but he refused. Thankfully Customer Service was more understanding and realistic. They took care of it. I think the Orland Park manager should have just refunded me, apologized for the confusion and stated that he'll make sure all customers are aware of policies before they make purchases in the future. Message to Orland Park location: Don't try to play me....
Read moreScrew this place!! I've been in there before and had decent service. So..since I've bought from here before..I thought it would be ok to get some measurements for a suit I have to order online. I walked in..three guys standing around, doin nothing, I walked by them and went by the shoes. Finally someone came up to me and asked if I need help. I told him I need measurements for a suit I have to order. He came off with some attitude. I gave him the measurement sheet. He starts shaking his head back and forth, as in he's pissed off. At least thats what I took from it. He looks at the paper and then tells me he's only doing basic measurements. I took the paper back and told him to not even worry about it. Totally seemed like I was bothering him. Guy was unprofessional. He wanted to half ass it. After spending over thousands of dollars at the place..thats how you get treated? Screw that. I told him, next time just tell me that you don't wanna do it. Would save us all time.
Separate from this..my brother went in there to buy some stuff. He even said they came off rude. They were throwing around a ball the whole time and almost hit my sister in law in the head with it. The female worker said "they sit around and play with that ball all day".
Screw this place. I went to modern tuxedo and they were professional and treated you...
