šš» Hey fellow Google Maps users! āŗļø I went to this Apple Store location in the Orland Square Mall in Orland Park, IL on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 around 2:40 pm. I scheduled an appointment with them in advance and showed up a little after 2:40 pm. Iām not sure if it was because I showed up late that I wasnāt helped immediately. The employee I came up checked in with me for my appointment and told me and my boyfriends to sit in the sitting area towards the back of the store near the big screen they have. If I had to estimate a time until I officially got help about my phone, I would say it took about 10-20 minutes past my appointment time.
š± I had the iPhone 11 which Iāve had for a good 4-5 years. I was either looking to replace the battery (cheaper route) or just upgrade to a newer phone (which I ended up doing).
š¤ The first person to officially help me with my phone, he was okay. He didnāt seem really friendly, but he did his job right. He told me that the phone was in good condition, but my phone battery was no longer good or severely damaged. He let me know the cost of the battery replacement. He asked me which route I was thinking and I ended up upgrading to the iPhone 15. The next person that helped me was really great!
āļøšš» A huge shout to Zdenek for making my experience the best it can possibly be. He was really patient with me (I can be pretty indecisive when it comes to shopping, but thatās because Iām trying to get the best deal & product for my money). He also has a lot of product knowledge and even shared his own experience owning an iPhone 15 (Pro or Pro Max). He went over all the different phone options, payment options, and now Iām in love with my pink iPhone 15. This man needs a raise ASAP! Keep up the amazing work!!! š«¶š»
ššš» NOWā¦this is where things started to go downhill. Zdenek handed me off to a guy that was helping get my phone set up. He was helpful to an extent. I wanted to treat my phone as a new phone versus transferring all my data, photos, videos, etc. Background story, I was already almost maxed out with my 256 GB iPhone 11. I knew transferring all my stuff would take forever, so I made the decision to just treat my phone upgrade as a completely new phone where it would give me the usually prompts/options to choose from and would just need to log into my Apple ID account and call it day. An employee named Bill if I remember correctly came out of nowhere. Iām not sure if people were rotating and/or if heās a new employee. Iām still trying to give him the benefit of the doubt despite my permed with him. Bill was unfortunately horrible. He was trying to make the process faster which I appreciated, but Iām guessing he assumed I wanted to transfer all my stuff like the other few customers that were at the same table as me, but I wasnāt. Mind you, Zdenek, the guy Zdenek handed me off to in the process, and a few other employees knew my situation. This felt like a trying to solve a problem without knowing and/or understanding what needs to be solved kind of situation. This is the best way to describe this situation and where it went wrong. Bill ended up making the process so slow, like not exaggerating about an extra 30 minutes to an hour I stayed longer than I shouldāve in my opinion. At a certain point, it felt like a waste of time, so I ended up leaving the store around 6 pm or even past that. My experience was a total of about 3 HOURS, which in my opinion I find absolutely ridiculous. I honestly couldāve just easily upgraded my phone at T-Mobile in like less than an hour or two at max.
š± Overall, I had a an okay experience with my visit at this Apple Store location. Iām honestly not sure if Iād come back to this location though.
š I hope this review helps Apple & its current and future customers.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe worst apple store Iāve ever been at.It was my second time at this store and both times I had a very bad experiences .I have iPhone 7 that has a no service issue.I tried to fix at Verizon ,but after all possible restarts they send me to apple store saying that apple produced some defective iPhone 7 ,that have this problem with service disappearance .when I came to this apple store for the first time they said they can change my phone but I have to pay $150 for a tiny crack on the screen.I didnāt want to pay for a small crack that doesnāt bother me at all and I left.Today I came back ready to pay $150 for replacement device, because I canāt deal with dropping calls anymore ,when service disappears .For some reason today the technician said my phone is not defected and they canāt change it for another one even if I pay $150. I called manager hoping to explain everything ,how come couple of months ago they were ready to change my phone for $150 ,but today they donāt.She came to me.Her name is Lisa. And they both her and a technician kept proving me that my phone works fine.I didnāt want to leave until I show them that I do have a defective phone and service keep disappearing for few seconds (but itās enough to be disconnected on very important phone calls). She asked me to go to the front and come back when the problem shows.I explained her ,the service goes off just for few seconds, and by the time I reach back of the store the service will come back .I said I am going to stay here and show whatās happening with my phone. What happened next is hard to believe .She threatened me with security .She start to teach me that itās no good for my baby to see a security guy.I was shocked to be treated this way .I know my rights .This is definitely not the way the customers should be treated,it is unacceptable behavior especially for manager . When I decide to leave a store, after no one was taking care of me, I came to her and asked where I can write a review ,she starts to tell me they can exchange my phone but it will be over $300 .Couple of months ago it was $150 ,but today itās over $300???I wonāt come to this store anymore.Horrible...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came in today to get a charger for my Apple Watch. While in the store I realized that they had just released a newer model and I wasnāt quite sure what model I had, so I asked a ācustomer service specialistā Patrick (if thatās what you want to call them) if I could trade my current Apple Watch towards an upgrade to the Series 7. The gentleman asked me to see my watch so I handed it to him and he informed me that I in fact had a Series 1. So I asked what the trade in value was towards a series 7 and was told 70 dollars flat. I contemplated getting the watch but decided to leave with just the charger and base for the Apple Watch. I ended up going back not even an hour later because I decided I needed to buy the series 7. So I sat down with another āspecialistā I explained the whole āI was just here and I decided to get an Apple Card and buy the newest watch. Here is my current watch as the trade in for the 70 dollars towards the new one.ā Now this guy comes back and tells me thereās no value at all for it. After explaining to him that I had already been quoted he said itās a manager problem. So we waited around for this clueless guy to call an even more clueless manager over. And again all she told us was regardless of what was promised it was our problem not theirs. We tried to ask the initial person and he denied it with a horrible attitude. Claiming he never even touched the watch but the only way I even knew what type of watch I had was because he showed me. The manager took on a horrible attitude. Didnāt want to hear any of what we had to say. The very least they could have found SOME means of accommodation. Instead we got some pretentious mouthy piss poor attitude people not willing to do their very simple jobs. It was so bad I just went online to order it myself to avoid going and giving a lousy employee any kind of commission. I would 100 percent not recommend this store for any of your...
