The only reason this review has any stars is because of Dr Lateef himself. Even from my short visit, I could tell how knowledgable he is.
ASIDE FROM THAT... Third Party Insurance Holders (i.e. Golden Rule) don’t waste your time here!
I never write reviews. Ever. However I feel this one was very important for me to write to warn other people. I do not plan on going back here ever. If you have regular insurance you (MIGHT) have a better experience, but I doubt it. They make it extremely difficult for someone (even with insurance) to order medication because they use a site called “Phil” which I couldn’t even use because I have an indemnity insurance plan with third-party prescription drug coverage, and they would not accept my insurance’s discount card for the drugs that I was prescribed. ($1,000 meds yeah no thanks). So I got my script transferred to my local Publix. The medicine department of the office is horrible with returning calls. I went in for my office visit on 12/17/19 and, keeping the holidays in mind, I patiently waited for them to call back my pharmacy. However it is now January 8th and my local Publix said they still have not heard back from them! This is ridiculous already. I just want my meds so I can look and feel better.
In addition, I received a bill this week saying that I owe them more money... and the total stated on said bill differed from the total that they stated on the date of my visit.
I called them to find out why and they said it was a “mistake.” $87 vs $150 is a big difference to not state why or how that mistake was made.
Other people who are reviewing have had positive experiences, so they must have normal insurance plans. I can only speak on behalf of my personal experience here. And it has not been a...
Read moreI've been going here for about 6 months with no problems whatsoever. However, yesterday changed that. I was waiting for the PA and her assistant to return, when one of the office staff came in my room. Mind you, I was partially undressed. Told me that I have a deductible to meet( I have co-pays) and that I have to pay the deductible first before they can continue on, and they didnt catch it the last time .First, I have a co-pay; I made sure I got the best insurance my company offered due to having a deductible and a back surgery a few years ago. Second, why couldn't she wait until I checked out? What was I going to do, run out the door? I myself worked in a doctors office, and I never went in an exam room to collect money from a patient. If there was an additional fee, we waited until the visit was over, then collected whatever needed to be collected. So, that experience soured my opinion. ...
Read moreI had a consultation a few months ago then COVID hot so I waited and made an appointment for 3:30 Today. I called the office to confirm the price and time of the appointment (this was around 2pm). They said everything was fine. I called back around 3 because I got stuck at work and would be 10-15 minutes late which they also said was fine. Less than 2 minutes later they called back saying the doctor had an “emergency” and I had to be re-scheduled and the woman over the phone also said the doctor usually leaves early so she’s not sure why I was even scheduled (it’s the 4th of July weekend, So if you’re doctor wanted to leave early would it not be more ethical to call your patients and give them notice?) Not sure it there’s a severe lack of communication or the doctor is just lazy but I definitely would not recommend anyone going here because its more of an inconvenience than...
