Unfair Contract Violation – Delivery Drivers Beware
I had a frustrating experience with Lee Bistro Asian Cuisine while delivering on Christmas Eve (December 24). I was en route to the restaurant, following Apple Maps, and driving on a busy street (International Drive). Despite actively heading to the location and not working multiple orders, I received a contract violation for being late for being late for 15 minutes, when y'all restaurant can be late for 30 to 45 minutes sometimes no dasher reports the restaurant to Doordash.
This restaurant has access to my real-time location, so they could see I was on my way. My customer had no complaints, I followed their instructions, and they even thanked me after delivery. Yet, I was still penalized. I could be a potential customer instead you ruining it.
If you’re a delivery driver, be cautious—this place may unfairly mark you late. I won’t be dashing at this restaurant again due to this experience. I hope they never have to experience what true struggle feels like .
Update to Lee Bistro Asian Cuisine’s Reply
Since Lee Bistro Asian Cuisine falsely accused me of not providing facts and asked me to delete my review, I am now attaching proof to support my experience. I didn’t want to post these pictures, but your rude reply and false accusations left me no choice.
I am not here to harm your business, but I will not delete my review because my experience was unfair and backed by facts. I have now provided visual proof showing:
✔ I was in your parking lot between 9:50 PM - 9:56 PM before picking up the order. ✔ The young man at your restaurant handed me the order. ✔ I was actively en route to your location. ✔ My customer had no complaints and even thanked me.
I do this work because I need to, not just for extra income. If I had money, I wouldn’t have to dash on Christmas Eve at least you would consider it's Christmas Eve, Have a heart, it is time in 2025 for business owners, and employees, to take accountability for their actions.
You operate on International Drive, a busy area during the holiday season. You know that many people rely on gig work to survive. It is unfair for restaurants to mark drivers late especially this time of the year, because without Dashers, your restaurant wouldn’t be able to deliver to your customers.
A contract violation like this can cost people their income because this is not just a side job for everyon sometime it is their main income Stop being so quick to mark drivers extremely late.
Instead of asking me to delete my review, I encourage you to:
✔ Speak with the young employees who had me confirmed the order. ✔ Take accountability for your actions and prevent unfair violations for future Dashers.
I have already contacted DoorDash to dispute this violation, as your restaurant incorrectly marked my order as extremely late. If this was a mistake on your end, I urge you to take responsibility and accountability rather than dismissing valid concerns and falsely accusing me of lying.
This is not just about me—this is about all delivery drivers who depend on gig work to make a living.
Wrongfully marking orders as extremely late can harm real people who are just trying to work hard and earn a living. As you can see it's clearly stated in Doordash that repeat violations can cause deactivation.
Respect is a two-way street. If you truly respect delivery drivers, as you claim, then look into this issue rather than trying to silence me.
Now that I’ve posted my facts, it’s your word against mine.

Read moreHave been searching (mostly in vain) for quality Asian cuisine of all styles and flavors, since moving to the Orlando area over 6 years ago. Since I was nearby, after a local Google search, I decided to try Lee Bistro Asian Cuisine, based on a wide variety on the menu, as well as quite a few positive reviews (and good pictures never hurt... apologies, I completely forgot to take any).
Went in late afternoon, completely empty, so no problem at all being seated. The server (who I got the impression was likely an owner) was friendly and was kind enough to allow me to modify my too-late-for-lunch, but still-pretty-early-for-dinner menu selections, to allow me to sample a few different dishes.
Won Ton soup was very good, although a bit too salty (and I'm a salty guy), with fresh pork won tons and very flavorful broth. Served nice and hot. Unfortunately, the 2 dishes also ordered arrived at precisely the same time, so no time to really savor my soup, less the rest of the food was getting cold (and I like my hot food hot)... but the soup was good!
Sweet-n-Sour Shrimp: Nice, large jumbo shrimp, served in bare batter, with the sauce on the side, accompanied by onions and peppers (no pineapple?). However, while the size was very nice, and they seemed to be well-cooked, I had an issue with the breading. Most sweet-n-sour dishes have a very thin fried breading, to compliment the protein inside. The dish was served nice and hot, and very fresh, but... I've never had breading like that before - it was very, very thick, and quite starchy. Actually tasted more like a heavy biscuit mix, rather than Asian-style breading. I ate some, but had to free the tender shrimp inside, which was quite good with the sauce on the side. I shared my thoughts with the owner, who agreed it was quite thick, and said he'd share the feedback. Incidentally, not sure if he was just being polite or not, but he agreed it was overly heavy, thick breading. Maybe just personal preference, but I wouldn't order anything breaded there again.
2nd dish was the House Special Fried Rice - fairly standard, including egg, scallions, onion, shrimp (smaller size, but quite good), chicken and bbq pork. Personally, I prefer when house fried rice has shrimp, chicken and beef, but again, to each his own. I did ask that the unusual bean sprouts (from the menu picture) be left out... which they were not. I ate them anyway (preference only, not a food sensitivity), and it was pretty good. One of the better house fried rices I've had locally. (In all fairness, I just got home from being in the Los Angeles area, and had some of THE best Asian fusion food ever, so it was a high bar upon walking through the door).
Overall, the food was... good (with the exception of the breading), and compared to most local offerings, maybe a bit better than good. Would I go back? If I was in the neighborhood, with a craving for house fried rice... sure, but I don't think I'll go out of my way. Decent.... but the...

All of the food ordered was excellent as well so I'm not sure what caused the discrepancies with the reviews complaining about the food. We went at 7pm on a Thursday so perhaps there is a better chef working that day.
We started off with some apps: Calamari was large like onion rings and had veggies mixed in as well. Very crunchy and good.
Spring rolls were crisp on the outside and and had a wonderful flavor inside.
Beef on a stick was so tender you could bite it without worrying about pulling the whole strip off the stick.
As for the main courses there were: House Special Lo Mein - amazing noodles with shrimp, chicken, beef, and veggies mixed in.
Combination Pad Thai (beef and scallop) - again had amazing noodles and perfect tender beef. I'm not a fan of scallops but the person who ordered it said they were cooked well, too.
General Tso's Chicken - great flavor! The rice had a nice buttery flavor and the chicken gave a satisfying crunch on the outside and juicy chicken inside. None of those hard chewy pieces you sometimes get.
Tonkotsu Ramen (beef) - the visual appeal falls short of the other dishes but the taste was excellent. The beef, like all the other dishes, was very tender and paired well with the noodles and deep flavors of the broth. I did not find it too salty as some said, but given the nature of the dish you should expect it to be more salty than non-soup entrées.
Looking at other reviews it seems like this place can be a major hit or miss. Our experience was...
