I love this pharmacy and actually go out of way a bit to use it. All the pharmacy staff have taken the effort to know me by name. They are cordial and efficient.
I read the reviews below and just can't understand them because it is nothing like I experience. I suspect that the service one receives is in direct proportion to how you treat the staff. I would guess if you treat them with kindness and respect that they will treat you them same. (Most of life is like this, right?) And the Asian lady pharmacist mentioned below? She is my favorite. She helps me in every way: syncing all my scripts to renew on the same day so I make fewer trips, advising me thoroughly on meds (almost as if she can remember every prescription I am taking by memory), and advising me on costs and strategies to save money.
I have tried CVS, Publix, and mail-order. Nothing stacks up to the ease of using Walgreens. (Can you get a refill at Publix at 11:45pm? Impossible, right?) My Walgreens pharmacy closes at midnight, but if I drive a bit further, there are others whose pharmacies are open 24 hours! Also, I love using the Walgreens pharmacy app. I can scan a medicine bottle and it automatically requests the refill. No dialing, waiting for menus, or punching in 13 digit prescription numbers. The app is awesome. And I get a lot of points on my Walgreens card each time I refill which I can redeem as cash towards purchases when I pick up other sundries.
What about traveling? Ever try to refill your Publix prescription outside of Florida (or the deep south)? Good luck and enjoy a trip to a local doctor to get a new script you can fill out of state. Walgreens has 10 times the outlets as Publix and has locations in all 50 states and in most US territories. Even CVS doesn't have stores in all 50 states.
Honestly, I can't understand the moaning and complaining in the other reviews. I have lived in 6 countries around the globe and in 6 different states in this country. I would be hard pressed to find more convenience, cheaper prices, or friendlier staff that at Walgreens. I love...
Read moreI was forced to change to Walgreens from Publix due to insurance. It is important to note that I changed from a Walgreens to Publix for poor customer service. Anyway, every time and I mean every time I have an issue getting my scripts. They always blame it on the insurance. Today I go to fill my script and asked to be filled as a waiting customer because I am waiting in the car bc I have an infant. He tells me a time which was 1.5 hrs. I go to pick up the script and was told it wasnât filled. Again, they blamed the insurance. I explained that they should notify the customer when there is an issue. Again, I explained that I am waiting with an infant. He tells me everything was fine and tells me to give them 15 min. I call at 20 min and was told I canât get the script until Thurs. due to insurance. I went inside to speak to a manger and pharmacists. The pharmacist kept saying it was the law. It is important to note that he didnât apologize or show any empathy for the fact that I waited for almost two hours. I get they canât change the law but I am pretty sure the law didnât change while I was waiting. Donât blame the insurance and the law for your poor customer service. He refused to give me a print out stating I wasnât privy to it. I said I can go online so thatâs not true. He again refused to print it out saying I could get it online. Ummmm you just made me wait two hours for a script I canât get and you expect me to go home and print out paperwork. I explained that I needed it now and didnât want to go home. Again refused. At this time a really sweet pharm tech stepped in and printed it for me. I am going back to Publix. I have to pay more because they are out of network but I donât...
Read moreThis is honestly the WORST pharmacy and customer service eveeer. I donât normally make reviews but as its medication, it feels justified to do so. It is impossible to get through to someone on the phone, Iâve never not been put on hold for less than 15 minutes. Several times my medications are not pushed through though my doctor will do so on their end, luckily my medication is not life or death but there is NO communication if the meds are late or unavailable. My medication today for instance has been âprocessingâ for over 24 hours (I already needed it yesterday) and said would be available today at 11:40 am- when I came in the lady working was very short in her tone & said it just never showed up on the truck. Understood thatâs not their fault, but communication so I could transfer the meds to another pharmacy wouldâve been awesome. Or at least just being kind in that. I have transferred my meds to a further location cause this has just been a pain to deal with every month for picking up my meds. I shouldnât have to do the pharmacies job when things are on auto refill, the doctor pushes them through, & theyâve been cleared by insurance. please do better or as a customer, go...
