I was shopping for a ring and I had called about 5 other places in the area doing research before I went in just to save myself some time and stress, and these guys impressed even from just a quick phone call. I spoke directly to Mr. Thompson about my situation and he was very friendly, informative and helpful so I decided to go in. Upon entering I was greeted instantly by a gentleman named Brodrick. Brodrick is the man who would help me through my purchase and pickup. The selection they had in the store was fantastic and looked like it could fit anyones preferences, and Brodrick knew exactly what to show me based on my wants and needs, even showing me alternatives I hadnt even thought of. Once I had found the ring I was going to use for my setting (I already had my own diamond I was just needing the diamond to be set). They we very helpful customizing the ring even further to fit my exact spcifications which was very helpful. They even had the option to fully customize a ring from the ground up and Brodrick was very knowlegable about the options they provided with customizing. When it came to pricing, they were very helpful as well working their best to keep the ring within my price range (even offering to modify certain aspects of the ring to make the price flexible). I felt very comfortable with Brodrick and confident he was doing his best to get me the best price possible. They are a family owned and run business so theyre not looking to upsell or upcharge,they are there to help and I could tell in every aspect of my visit. Once I had everything in place and was finishing up, I felt very comfortable leaving my diamond with them for a few weeks while my ring was created and the diamond set. Brodrick was very helpful throughout this process even calling me back to update me on the status of my ring. And when it was finally complete, they were even willing to stay open later to make sure I had time to pick up the ring after work. They gave me a lifetime warranty on the side diamonds in the ring which was a pleasant surprise and even helped me evaluate my finalized ring to estimate its value for insuring it. I am really glad that I decided to try Thompson Jewelers when I recently needed to have my engagement ring repaired. To my astonishment, I woke up one morning and noticed that the center Sapphire was completely missing. I, luckily, came across it that same morning laying in a corner on our tile floor. Needless to say, I needed to have it repaired.

I read reviews online and saw that other people were happy with Thompson, so decided to try them out. We called them on the phone and spoke with the woman who works there, and she was very pleasant. She advised us to bring the ring in for them to examine it to get a proper estimate on the cost of having it fixed. My husband brought the ring to them two days later, and that same day we were provided with an estimate - and we left the ring to be fixed.

When I went to pick up my ring and try it on a few days later, I was happy with how it looked, however the ring was set crooked in the center of the setting (I don't think Thompson necessarily did this, it was likely like that when it was dropped off). I expressed my wish to have the ring centered, because there was an obvious space between the center stone and one of the stones on the side. Sterling was there to look at my ring and he said he understood what I was saying. He told me to leave the ring and he would see what he could do.

I received a call either that same day, or the next, and Sterling let me know that they would be able to fix my ring and make it look straight, and that there would be no additional charge.

I picked up my ring just a few days later, and it looked wonderful! I truly feel that Sterling and the other staff at Thompson jewelers went above and beyond to make sure that we left happy. And we did! They also let us bring our dog into the store, and were super friendly with her too.

I would first like to thank Sterling, who was extremely helpful, informative and not pushy when I was shopping for an engagement ring. He explained the different types of diamonds, explaining the clarity and colors. I would imagine that every guy has no clue about the specifics of a ring and a diamond. But Sterling and Thompson Jewelers really did a great job to make you understand the specifics while also not pressuring you into a diamond or ring that wasn’t the one.

Rewinding prior to my experience at Thompson, my girlfriend and I went to IDC to look together to get a feel. They couldn’t have been more pushy, and quite frankly, full of garbage when showing us their diamonds. At the time I didn’t know this but once I got to Thompson they humbly told me the difference and respectfully proved IDC to be completely out of their minds. But also at IDC, we found a diamond that was somewhat worthy. The one salesman then took my girlfriend away to “look at other things” while the other salesman started talking to me about price and the deals he could give me. The price the IDC salesman gave me couldn’t have been more outrageous, not to mention I would never buy my girlfriends engagement ring with her in the same building! IDC was so unprofessional.

I got a bigger, better diamond from Thompson for much less than what IDC was offering. But more importantly, Thompson was a great experience. Sterling wasn’t there to sell me an outrageous stone. He was there to sell me what my girlfriend wanted. And as of today (the day I proposed and she said yes!) the ring is exactly what she wanted.
