if I could give less than 1 star I would. my husband and I were having trouble keeping up with rent and bills in an apartment so we decided to move into an extended stay. way less bills and week to week rent is easier to keep up with. if you are in the same boat avoid this place at ALL COSTS. please! we lived there for 9 months. in that time they increased the minimum rent by $10 a week twice. They kicked us out despite the fact that we we always paid rent in time, were respectful and quiet unless we were laughing or something. we didn't bring the drama most couples bring there. they kicked us out because they said we "had too much stuff". no fire hazard and we had the same amount of stuff the entire time we lived there. suddenly, even us putting some of our stuff somewhere else wasn't even an option. we are bouncing from couch to couch and from hotel to hotel because they kicked us out over stuff. My husband spoke to the manager and i'm pretty sure I spoke to the owner and there was no sympathy. no remorse. nothing. we had to wash EVERYTHING because of the terrible roach problem we were trying not to bring with us. we had black mold on the ceiling. it took them days to even begin to do something about it and when we left a decent amount of it was still there. we did more for the roach problem than they did. we had roaches after our first meal there. people in these reviews would have you think the problem is the staff or the people living there. I never felt unsafe. and I never felt disrespected by housekeeping or most of the people at the front desk. the problem is not the guests. the problem is that they are seeking to exploit those in need and kick them out when they decide they've been there too long or they don't want families living there or they decide that you have to much stuff. they don't care about you. they care about being able to bump up the rent when ever they feel like it. if you're in a tough spot, avoid this like the plague. its not worth the money. they will kick you out in a second over nothing. I been living here at the home suite home for over 2 years and now all of a sudden when I speak up I get kicked out and asked to leave just like a few other long term people who speak up about a problem and then they get kicked out too. this isn’t no hotel this basically a run down apartments being managed by slumlord managers. my room has been infested with roaches since day 1 and I have tried so many times to fix the situation myself and there’s no fixing it. Now we got the bed bugs too. my buddy’s room was infested with roaches and bedbugs and what did they do? they paid him off so he wouldn’t open his mouth even though he did open his mouth and they kicked him out. now the same is happening to me. the workers don’t give a crap about working here at all. the short Jamaican guy with long hair and long fingernails has been here the longest and was the one who checked me in when I first got here and he so bad at his job I heard workers here saying they had to bring in a new manager (big fat man) and demote him cause he can’t be trusted to do the job even though he the longest one working at this dump. and the lady manager who doesn’t like me and is the one who kicks all of us long term residents out is suppose to be the big boss but none of us residents even seen her here. She not here on weekends. And only here like 2 ,3 times a week. how she suppose to know what’s going on when never even here? This place should be condemned and I can’t wait till we check out this DUMP next week! This place was disgusting Plus overpriced and they kept our hundred dollar deposit because they said our Linens were dirty but had no proof or pictures. The only thing it could have been is maybe makeup on the pillow case. Security kicked us out in the middle of the night because I was knocking on the door to our room several times because my boyfriend was sleeping and my purse was locked inside and had no ID to get a new key from the front desk. The security claim to be the manager and told us that we had to leave in the middle of the night or else they would call the police and have us arrested?? We left with no place to go in the middle of the night to come back to get our deposit the next day and be told that we were not getting our deposit. The front desk manager said that security was hired separately and that that wasn't the manager and had we called the police we would have been able to stay and I requested to speak to a manager and was refused to get to speak to one with no other explanation of why my deposit was kept then the manager started yelling at me and I started to video record him with my phone he proceeded to walk around to the other side of the desk grab my phone and throw it on the ground. Poor management, overpriced, always find a reason to keep your deposit, cockroaches updated decor, and the people there were low class scum. The front desk manager even proceeded to say well I was the one staying at an Extended Stay I must be a prostitute mean while I'm a fourth grade teacher at a private school in between moving into my new place I had to stay...
