Perrine's Produce — Local services in Ormond Beach

Would have given it more stars but here is why...have been trying to talk my husband into trying Perrine's with me for a while. Today he decide to. We shopped somewhat separately as I like fruit and he was looking for certain vegetables for dinner. We ended up with more of those thin plastic bags than we normally would have on a normal shopping day but neither of us noticed as we had our own agenda in mind and we both were enjoying the store....until...the register. The lady told us off about the number of bags and how we shouldn't be using plastic at all...I was ashamed as I agreed with her and realized how we made such an error..but she continued to tell us off...my husband was embarrassed and said I was going to bring Robert( our friend that would be visiting) tomorrow but maybe not. We don't normally waste and live to recycle. I told her I would refuse the bags but that didn't seem to be good enough as she said we shouldn't be using them at all...good for her for her faithfulness to our world..but I am not so sure it was so good for the business..maybe they should remove the bags if they don't...

I used to shop here EVERY SINGLE DAY! 😍 At times, I made it in 2-3 times a day (excessive a bit, I know but I'd always try new recipes in a blink of an eye and it was conveniently so close to fulfill my needs) - thank God it is right down the road from me 🤣 with my daily schedule now I don't have the opportunity to go everyday anymore but this is still my go-to for produce and awesome service, every time.

The staff is absolutely amazing, I've never used the deli portion of the business (I'm vegan so no meat, cheese etc) but the produce staff and cashiers are very hard working and leave such a lasting impression. We're known on a first-name basis with many and are always treated "like super stars" when we go. Lol. Keep it up guys, you're amazing! ❤️

Buuutttt it would be so awesome if you opened until 8 again. 🤔 When you first tried it I don't think there were many people that last hour when day light savings hit bc it was so dark by 8 but you should try it again now especially because FL will never change back again! Yay....

Made quite a effort to go to this store being a former customer of the US1 South Daytona Store. Big mistake as I guess it was around the 1st of the month and the store was teaming with customers and the small size of the store made it a challenge for this senior to dodge & dice around everyone in the narrow aisle's. I picked up quite a stock of veggies (pounds) but the cash register line was a nightmare with some person holding up the line having problems paying with 2 cards(?) I scanned the other packed lines and just shook my head and walked away and left my cart never to return. Also I remember the days Perrine's started out and the didn't sell alcohol, listen up folks we need to go back to the days when alcohol was only sold in liquor stores and no one under 21 was allowed in the store, it sickens me to see a parent of a young child pushing around a shopping cart half filled with...
