We went in last night and had the most disgusting experience we were in the Christmas department. We asked a man for help you could tell he was very put off by this. I wanted three Christmas trees. He walks away. A few minutes later a young girl came through and asked if we needed any assistance. We told her somebody was supposed to be helping us, but he was clearly agitated by helping us. She told us she could’ve sure as he was not. She continue to listen to what we needed the man came walking back over I have never had a store associate raise their voice with me until this man. Another lady was asking about a tree. He was very rude to her as well. He raised his voice with young girl that had been helping. A few minutes later, I approached him about how unprofessional he was he proceeded to raise his voice with me then I walked away. Me and my daughter were around the front of the store and I could hear him talking to another associate about me in front of customers so we stayed close to the front of the store because at this point I didn’t know if I wanted to buy anything, a few minutes later, I hear him yelling at that poor girl again that was trying to help us. You could see the despair in her eyes with the way he was talking to her. I made a point to find her a little bit later and thank her for her help and being so kind , I told her she needed to go to the manager because he needed to be removed from the store. He was awful. Before I left I found out that this man was the store manager absolutely disgusting. This store claims to be a Christian-based store and has somebody that awful working I am tempted to take everything I have from Hobby lobby right back for a return the customer service from this manager was absolutely disgraceful. A true Christian-based store would not treat customers nor employees this way if I had been that girl I would’ve walked out and quit right then I’m a customer I don’t have to put up with it. I hate that she does. She was such a sweet girl, and then to talk about my daughter and myself to another associate in front of a bunch of customers in the store and he was not being quiet about it. He was being very loud we could hear him a good...
Read moreUpdate July 2025: I am an avid customer here and I especially enjoy shopping the jewelrymaking aisles!
I noticed, however, that they don't stock as much of a selection of the Beadalon brand of beading wire. For example, they used to carry 18 gauge German beading wire but not currently. I see some Beadalon products but nowhere near what they used to have. Beadalon is a good brand and I'm a fan of it.
Another brand they no longer carry is Winsor & Newton artists' oil paint and their brushes, both of which I've used for 30+ years. It was always nice to simply pick up paint at the store. Now I must order it. I'm happy that they still carry Liquin, as I buy it frequently! So they do still work with W & N. I wish they would carry more of their product line.
They have begun carrying silver clay again, which I'm really happy to see. I first bought silver clay from them years ago and they stopped carrying it. Great decision to sell it again!
I have recently revisited making my own skin care products and I bought several of the soap-making ingredients. I love that I can buy these items in-store rather than mail-ordering them! It saves me money on shipping and I don't have to wait to get what I need.
I would like to see more jewelrymaking books again, as it seems they scaled way back on those. Types I like to see are stringing, micromacrame, silver clay, seed bead loom jewelry, art jewelry, leather jewelry, and resin jewelry, to name a few - basically a book for each jewelrymaking type or section in their store. I think this would help potential buyers get ideas, know what they're buying, and buy the whole project.
I was disappointed to see the Vintaj brand discontinued. It continues to be stylish and fun to create with.
I always enjoy shopping at Hobby Lobby, but check your bags before leaving the store. This is especially important for folks living around the lake since the driving distance can be considerable.
This store is well-organized and stocked! I enjoy shopping here. I've increased...
Read moreI love craft stores. I could browse for hours. Therefore I enjoy leisurely pursuing the aisles of the local Hobby Lobby. There are so many items lining the shelves that I would love to buy but I don't have any extra thousands of dollars a month to blow through so I can't be doing that. That being said, I wish there were other craft stores to choose from in the area than Hobby Lobby. I don't like that the owners' use their religion as justification for interfering with their employees ability to affordably access family planning medications and products by mandating that contraception not be covered by their employer provided health insurance. And I know that it is not unheard of for contraception not to be covered by insurance, a practice I personally find counterintuitive and decide of common sense, I believe that the employer should advocate for their workers and stand up for them and make sure they are provided with more comprehensive insurance coverage that allows for the workers to be able to make their own family planning decisions responsibility and without interference. A corporation as large As Hobby Lobby that employs so many people cannot possibly have the realistic expectation that everyone who works for them shares their personal religious beliefs. or is even if the Christian faith. Therefore they should keep their noses out of other people's reproductive planning. I mean, how creepy is it that they are so invested in their employees baby making anyway? Very creepy, I say. Very...
