Lake Escape- Escape Rooms and Axe Throwing — Attraction in Lake Ozark

As a group of eight escape room enthusiasts, we embarked on an exhilarating journey at Lake Escape, conquering the challenging Bayou room and the Curse of the Pharaoh room. Our collective experience was nothing short of spectacular!

From the moment our group stepped into the Bayou room, we knew we were in for a real challenge. As a team, we enjoyed every minute of deciphering intricate puzzles and uncovering hidden clues. The complexity of the room engaged all eight of us, sparking enthusiastic discussions and enhancing our bond as we worked together to solve each puzzle. The attention to detail in the room's design impressed us all, genuinely immersing us in the heart of the captivating bayou adventure. It was an adrenalizing experience shared by our entire group.

Moving on to the Curse of the Pharaoh room, our excitement soared to new heights. The room's ambiance instantly transported us to ancient Egypt, capturing the attention of every team member with its awe-inspiring set design. Just as before, the puzzles in this room were challenging, requiring us to pool our collective brainpower. The thrill of unraveling the secrets of the pharaoh's curse intensified our enjoyment as we worked together, feeling like a tight-knit group of adventurers on a daring quest.

Lake Escape demonstrated exceptional customer service throughout our visit. The attentive and friendly game masters expertly handled our large group, ensuring we were all engaged and included. They provided helpful hints when needed, allowing us to strike the perfect balance between challenge and accomplishment. Their passion for escape rooms was evident, creating an atmosphere that energized and captivated all of us.

The overall experience at Lake Escape was outstanding, with attention to detail extending beyond just the rooms themselves. We found the facility to be clean, well-maintained, and equipped with comfortable waiting areas suitable for our group -- this area included fun games to play. The staff members went above and beyond, fostering a fun and vibrant environment that heightened the experience. We wholeheartedly recommend Lake Escape. The Bayou and Curse of the Pharaoh rooms present unique challenges that will engross and entertain your entire team.

We booked an escape room at Lake Escape only to find what we thought would be an awesome experience turn sour. We walked in and was Amazed at the detail of the escape room We listened intently to the rules of the room discussed by the extremely friendly gentleman running the rooms. We were informed that once items were placed or touched a recording will play only once to inform us of the next clue. I spent over 10 minutes placing an item and no recording. Because of this and knowing it was correct, I alerted the manager on duty and he confirmed that the room was malfunctioning. He apologized and allowed us to continue in in the room While he alerted the owner for some type of compensation. We agreed to continue even though we could not hear any of the clues. We would literally have to tell the front desk that the item was placed and then wait for him to type the clue out on the monitor. Although helpful, this completely ruined the experience. We were advised after to reach out to the store manager whom was not helpful at all. We were told by Priscilla that because we received help and completed the experience, which we didn’t even know by the way because we couldn’t hear it verbally, that we were unable to be compensated. But she would be happy to give us one admission to the next admission. Well we live over 6-1/2 hours away and have no clue when we will be back if at all. The staff on duty were very apologetic and assured us we would be taken care of. The next day we received an extremely apologetic phone from the owner himself letting us know how sorry he was for how we were treated and that we absolutely should be compensated for our experience. drew was very kind and even offered for us to come back. Sadly we are on on way home. Overall the detail as said earlier and concept was great. We just wished we could have experienced it to its fullest capability. Thank you Drew and the staff you had present to help make the best out a bad situation. Would we recommend? Yes. Hopefully they can figure out the malfunction cause the room was actually...

The first room tried was a very positive experience, but not so much the second time around. The first time we went on a week day. We were the only ones there. The game master was a very pleasant person. He may have given us a few hints too early; would have liked to struggle a little more since we had a lot of time left. Overall really like the room and it challenges and had a great experience. So, we went back a few days later to try another room. It was a Friday night, and there was a lot of activity and people around. The person at the desk got us started and mentioned someone else was going to be the game master. The game master was way too quick in giving out hints. We would be in the middle of a puzzle, the game master would post hints and answers on the screen. It seemed like she was rushing us through the first half of the room. Then, at some point nothing more from the game master. When we ended, the game master wasn't around and time kept running. Someone at the front took care of the rest. It seemed to be all business with the front desk person. We finished in half the allotted time. We really would have liked to spend more time trying to figure things out, and, if we were stuck to get subtle hints instead of quickly jumping to the answers. We never asked for clues in either room. It would have been nice to not have things flash on the screen until either we asked for clues or the game master could see we were really getting stuck and might not get through the room in time, which is more in line with what we experienced at other escape rooms. Overall, we liked the rooms and decor. There was a good variety and appropriate difficulty to the challenges. The management of the hints/answers could use...
