Stayed at Teak Village 3 over Memorial day weekend. Wonderful cove, view, and dock. Two huge decks could easily entertain 30+ people (but you wouldn't be allowed to have such a party, just saying how much room there is out there). Management easy to work with & professional. Two fridges are a bonus. Two dining tables/areas inside, four outdoor tables on decks (2 have chairs for 6, so could seat 12 people outside). Every kitchen gadget provided including two full dish sets, coffee cups, & glasses. Plenty of serving trays, bowls, etc. Flat screens in every room worked well w/ basic Dish TV. New gas bbq pit provided once management was notified of status of old bbq pits.
Very narrow dock slip, so use it only if you're a very CONFIDENT boater (and you purchased the renter's insurance!). 10" on either side of a usual pontoon boat once in slip. Could not place boat bumpers until in slip. Not for a beginner boater. I guess one could tie up to swim dock, but lose the benefit of the covered dock. Cove is perfect for boating, PWC's, and swimming/floating. Bring your own water toys & floats, none provided. No lounge chairs provided. Vinyl patio chairs x 6 provided though.
Location is across street from two VERY POPULAR live music night clubs (H.Toads & Shady Gators). Sleeping a challenge for light sleepers in guest bedrooms (north side of house), bring your ear plugs. Well equipped linens & bathrooms (great fluffy towels!). Matresses need updating in guest bedrooms. Close to all the action of the The Lake of the Ozarks (touristy & amenities of home). Good fishing in early AM & late PM off dock....
Read moreHighly disappointed. We paid and average of $500 a night (including tax, etc.) For Starboard Shores 2 and expected a great weekend for my wife's 50th birthday with family. We show up and initial impression is great. Inside is nice and plenty of room. Then you find out you can't go out either of the sliding doors due to them being covered in active spiderwebs outside, we looked at the spiders, and three beginnings of hornet nest in the door rails. I used the vacuum to get the spiderwebs and try to destroy most of the nests. Go to use one of the bedrooms and no cable remote, the master bedroom has cheese crackers on the floor under the bed (did they even clean?). Next morning go to use the bathroom on the main floor and no way to turn the shower on, you can turn water on, but no way to move to shower mode. Then the shower head is completely covered in calcium and rust, $25 home depot showerhead could have fixed it, plus the bathroom door wont close all the way much less lock. Now out to the back downstarirs patio, active, massive apiderwebs everywhere and a bees nest. While I'm taking pictures of the webs two bees fly past me and enter a bees nest. This is worrisome as my wife and sister both carry epi pens as they are allergic to bees. DO NOT RENT THIS PLACE, unless you plan to igo n and out the...
Read moreOur 1st rental was canceled due to the owner selling the property. The staff and owner at, Your Lake Vacations, was professional and expedient at getting us into another unit. It was a great location, on the water, with a magnificent view. We occupied the unit at the Monarch Cove Condominiums. We will rent there again. However prior to checking in, we will request a proper cleaning. The maintenance and cleaning staff were less than satisfactory. When arriving, the smoke detectors were going off and there was a puddle of water in the bottom of the refrigerator. The maintenance man came, but could not correct the smoke alarm issue. So instead of fixing it, he suggested that we disconnect them. Also, the unit was not clean to our satisfaction. When arriving 3 out of the 4 ceiling fans were filthy. Two of the tubs were found with hair in the bottom. The kitchen floor was sticky, the kitchen counters and dining room table had to be washed down. Every window seal had dead bug and cobwebs. There were cobwebs throughout the...
