Lincoln Memorial Park — Local services in Oswego Township

At first GENEVIEVE was nice. I buried 4 family members there and she approved the decorations I placed on their graves. 4 months later she called demanding that they be removed. I told her I can come pick them up that evening. GENEVIEVE immediately removed the decorations herself, desecrating my family's graves and left them on the porch! I was devastated and traumatized. Dora, Cynthia, and Julie called me to comfort me, apologized profusely, and offered options to right the wrongs GENEVIEVE did to me and my family. I was told that GENEVIEVE had no right to touch my family's decorations and there was no need to remove them right away. You would think a person in that line of work would have compassion, kindness, and empathy especially having a significant loss of life and family as I've had. NOT GENEVIEVE!! It's a shame because everyone else including the groundskeepers have been amazingly sweet to me...

There are so many things to consider when you want to do some pre planning of a final resting place. My husband and I didn’t want our children to have to go through the stress and expense of doing that for us after our passing. Genevieve, who is on the staff of Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, walked us through all the complexities. She helped us define what we wanted for ourselves. She was so personable and patient with all my questions that I came away feeling that not only did with get everything we hoped to taken care of but that I came away with a new friend in the process. I was able to visit the gravesite for my Grandfather, Great Grandfather and other past members of my family that were buried over the last 100 years. it is a great moment as an adult to reflect on my family and my history and the legacy they have left. Lincoln Memorial was a special place for me to visit and I appreciate Cynthia, the grounds crew and everyone that keeps the cemetery as a beautiful place to come and pay respects to those that came before me.
