If I could give this store no stars I would , store is clean organized, prices are awesome I love the smell of candles when you walk right in …. I come from a retail background (12years) and currently employed in retail ,bilingual of course and let me tell ya if you don’t like people then THIS job is not for you ! The oswego stores customer service is just not it ! I have been to this store TWICE and will definitely not be steeping foot there again . First time ever going ,staff was rude did not acknowledge any of us AT all ,NOT greeted ,wasn’t asked if I was looking for something in specific if they could help me find anything etc seems like they were hiding and avoiding contact w customers ok I let it go and still looked around . Waited a while for someone to check us out not even “have a good day ma’am “ nothing AGAIN just get out of here and leave we did go 30 mins before closing but we offer customer service to ALL our customers always even mins before closing THEY are the reason stores are open “their purchases “ left wanting to write a review but again just let it slide ….this was last week .So I take my teen daughter today before we head to tjmaxx AGAIN rude person at the store ,never approached ,not greeted never even acknowledged us being there when I had to pay I walked and stood next to a check out , now this employee was working her way around that circled check out area … saw me standing there I was talking to my daughter did not want to be rude figured “she’ll see me and check me out “ NOTHING and still working her way around that area ,at this point I was getting VERY frustrated again second time at this store I was not having a good shopping experience so I said “I’m waiting to be checked out “ not rude not mad just letting her know “hey you see me hello I’m here yes I’m here “ employee turns to me as she’s fixing whatever she was fixing “it’s self checkout “ and continues doing her thing ,WOW just WOW I did look around me then looked up above me I was confused and questioning if “I “ missed anything sure enough “self check “out sign right above me . Now yes I could’ve looked up and seen It was self check out , I was checked out last week so assuming it changed ? Even me not seeing this as a customer, I …me as a retail employee would’ve been like “ma’am if your ready to check out these are all check out stations ,or ma’am are you ready if so these are self check out “ ANYTHING then just not a knowledge your customer for mins and have them stand there ! Now I promise I was the only person at the time with my daughter in the store so it was not busy . I said “oh …ok thank you “ rang myself up grabbed my stuff and walk out …not a single word I heard from this “employee “ I mean why was I expecting a different experience from the first time I step foot In that store ? 0 starts for me ,thank you I’ll keep my five below where even at the time of pay the cc machines asks you to RATE if you were greeted etc ! I’m big on customer service and I will make sure I assist my customers , make em feel like coming back to our store NOT make...
Read morehad a very disappointing experience at Pop Shelf on Saturday around 2:00 PM. I purchased a balloon, and within 10 minutes — before I even reached my car — it popped. I walked right back in with my receipt, but the woman at the counter was extremely rude. Instead of helping, she kept questioning me about the balloon even though I had just bought it.
I decided to give it another chance and purchased two more balloons. She blew one up with extra helium, and again, before I even made it to my car, the balloon popped. That’s twice in less than 20 minutes, and it’s clearly a quality issue.
On top of this, I witnessed her being dismissive to elderly customers in line behind me, telling them to “just ring yourself up” even though it was obvious they didn’t understand the self-checkout process.
This level of service is unacceptable. The store needs better management and staff who treat customers with respect. I left frustrated, out money, and with no balloons to show 😒 ...
Read moreNever new what this store was until I Googled toy stores near me, and yeah I guess it has toys but not much. Has a little of everything I'd say. Basically it's as if the Dollar Store and Five Below had a baby. 🤣 Pretty big inside but yet not a lot of product... Our favorite area was the pen/marker station where you could try them out on paper. That was nifty! Store was clean, employee was okay, not the friendliest. Self check out which is always nice. Overall an...
