Love this Aldi location! They recently remodeled and it's so nice. The aisles are wide and the store always feels fresh and clean. The associates are friendly. I buy all my groceries here, and we save so much money!
If you haven't shopped at Aldi before, here's a mini guide: 1) You have to have a quarter to get a cart (but you get the quarter back when you return your cart -- the quarters punch in and out of the cart). This system keeps customers from leaving the parking lot littered with carts -- people want their quarter back!
You have to either bring your own sacks or buy sacks. The Aldi sacks are just a few cents each for either paper or plastic. But another option is to keep an eye out for empty product boxes around the store -- you are welcome to use those for your groceries.
When you check out, the cashier puts all your items in the empty cart from the person who was in front of you. Then, when all your groceries have been scanned and your cart is empty, the cashier trades with you -- you take the cart full of your groceries and give the cashier your empty cart. It felt a little weird to me the first time, but it's very efficient and keeps the line moving quickly!
So Aldi is a little different from your typical American grocery store; a little more do-it-yourself. But you can't beat the prices! It's...
Read moreLove love love their store brand organics, price and quality cannot be beat. WISH there were more and wish they had continued to carry the organic skim milk, but "health" trend is away from dairy milk. My experience with the conventional store brand product is that they are comparable with national brand name products at a fraction of the price AND Aldi had a double guarantee. They will refund purchase price double if something is wrong.
Bring a quarter for a cart deposit and either your own bags, find a box in the store, or be prepared to buy bags (and bag your items yourself) as these are a few ways Aldi affords their business that are different than most other groceries.
Every week they offer "special buys" starting on Wednesday that are while supplies last. After too long on the shelf, they will be marked down, but usually they sell quickly.
Delivery and curbside are available thru Instacart.
Masks are optional and dividers at checkout, but carts and checkout are are not repeatedly sanitized. Aisles are NOT one directional, but I didn't feel over crowded and if lines are long all employees are cross trained so they open other lanes by pulling from stockers.
Love this store's philosophy. Wish they had...
Read moreI really like shopping at Aldi because of the prices and selection, but this location has disappointed more often than not lately. Between inventory issues, lack of cleanliness, and aloof employees, the experience leaves much to be desired. This most recent visit was on a Saturday around 7pm and the promo aisle shelves only had sporadic items on them and the shelves themselves were half taken apart and all were a mess. On the nuts and dried fruit aisle there were about 10 empty boxes just tossed on the floor that patrons had to kick out of the way to get carts through. Many of the products I normally find to be staples at Aldi were out of stock, and have been the last three times I’ve shopped (frozen chicken breasts, sliced cheese of all sorts, french fries, etc). I think I’ll stick to one of the other nearby locations instead for a while. If the store was clean, or the staff friendly, I could manage with product shortages, because those are beyond the control of local staff. But, they are doing little to address the things that are within their control to improve the customer experience at...
