Judging from the other reviews, it appears KC Watch is quite good at basic watch services - batteries and band replacement, maybe a crystal swap.
They are not, however, equipped or able to actually repair mechanical watches. They kept my mechanical watch, which has widely available documentation and repair parts available, for three weeks and then told me they can't do anything. When I dropped the watch off, I was not given a chance to speak with the actual repair staff, just the front counter staff. They never check their emails, and the phone often rings for minutes before being answered.
They were not able to refer me elsewhere, and told me to just "look around".
The wait times in store are pretty long - I waited a total of an hour just to drop the watch off. There is only one person working the counter at a time, and no way to say "I'm just dropping off", so you're stuck waiting behind old men who just want to tell stories about their watches while picking out a new band for it - something they could easily do without staff assistance, but here we are.
I really wanted to like this store, but the overall experience was not a pleasant one. I'm sure they are wonderful at batteries and bands, so by all means, use them for that. Just don't expect actual...
Read moreFirst of all I rarely bother to post a review. I only do it when I feel the service was above and beyond. KC Watch has fantastic, professional service. I have been in the market for a now-discontinued Omega Speedmaster Reduced for a while and considered rolling the dice with an online seller. I found a listing by KC Watch for the Ref I was looking for and was surprised to actually find one locally that I could inspect and try on before buying. The price was very fair for the condition which is to say near-mint. Zach was incredibly patient and took the time to correctly fit the watch to me even after I hemmed and hawed over how many links and the micro-adjustment. Before delivery they took the time to send me professional photographs of the watch including the movement with the caseback removed for my records. They included an appraisal for my insurance company and a complimentary watch box. I'm absolutely thrilled with my new Speedy and I have no regrets working with KC Watch. I might also add that they have serviced a couple other lesser watches for me either for free or for pennies which made me feel good about making a bigger purchase. This is going to be the watch I wear for my wedding in March and needless to say I'm just...
Read moreI've used these guys multiple times to take out links in a watch, replaced a few batteries, and most recently a new watch band for a Luminox that looks great. I don't mind paying a bit more than what I could on eBay or Amazon simply because I know they're customer service is great and the repair/installation will be perfect. Thanks again fellas for the watch band recommendations and also for pressure testing my Nautica watch to find the potential bad gaskets.
Updated They are still the first and only place I go for all my watch needs. They also have a wide variety of rubber, silicone, and NATO style straps. Yeh you can buy them cheaper on Amazon as I've done in the past but the quality in the product you get here is worth it plus you'll get longer life from it which saves money in buying more cheap options online. True example of getting what you pay for. The best part is they never try to sell you something you didn't ask for. If you got in for a new battery they're not trying to get you a new strap or a new watch .. Battery installed then on your way. SIX STAR...
