I would give 10 stars if I could, as I truly cannot recommend Michael and his amazing team at Backyard Box Office KC enough. We connected with Michael about hosting a movie night for our volunteers and staff at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, and he immediately responded to our request and scheduled a time for a site visit.

From our first interaction, he was friendly, genuine, on time, and communicative without fail. He has immense knowledge about his industry & equipment and has an impressive arsenal of processes in place so that his team is ready for anything. We had to postpone our first date due to weather, and Michael was in communication with us the whole time we were working to reschedule. We even had a hiccup with our planned site the night of our rescheduled event, and he and his team pivoted their entire set-up process like it was nothing. As a person in the events industry, I cannot say enough about their unwaveringly calm demeanor and creative problem solving.

The night of the event, they arrived with plenty of time to set up the screen, sound system, lights, and popcorn machine. Everything was set up on time and looked organized. The screen was bright and displayed the picture beautifully, and the sound system was top notch. Michael and his team worked tirelessly to make our event seamless so that our staff could enjoy the event as well, and they thought of every little thing. They were prepared for anything & the pinnacle of professionalism, and I cannot wait to work...

What a great time we had last weekend thanks to Backyard Box Office KC! We were able to have about 50 people over for a socially distant driveway movie event and everyone enjoyed the time well spent! The experience started with the booking call between Michael and I and it couldn't have gone better. In fact, after our call, I stopped looking at other options because of the knowledge and service level that Michael exhibited. The best part was, everything happened just as he explained it would. The team showed up right on time and set up for the event in a quick and professional manner, even with little kids running all of the place! Once the set up was complete and the sun set, that is when the real fun started! The picture quality and sound quality was above expectations and it couldn't have been a more pleasant experience. We were even surprised by Michael staying on site during the whole movie to make sure any hiccups were addressed. But of course, the only hiccup was a chilly wind that blew through! We will definitely be using Backyard Box Office again and I know a few people that were at the event will be as well!...

Mike and his entire team from Backyard Box Office goes above and beyond. I worked with Mike directly for several months on our school event. We originally had a date in May planned, but with rain in the forecast we decided to postpone to September. He could not have been more accommodating, flexible, and willing to make this work. The customer service from Mike is 5+ star. Timely with call backs, emails, follow ups, confirmations, etc etc. The quality of the picture, sound, equipment used, and overall movie experience was top notch. Mike and his team stay the entire time to ensure only the best is had by all. They made sure kids were safe and stayed away from generators and wires behind the screen. I also highly recommend adding on the popcorn machine! Such a nice perk for a small additional price that really goes a long way. I can’t say enough good things about Backyard Box Office, and can’t wait to use them for this event as well as others in the future....
