Rory seems to no longer care since he was going to retire but is now delaying it… I’ve had multiple interactions with him throughout the years, each declining, also apparently with his memory. He conveniently forgets you if he doesn’t want to deal with you.
He’ll have a lot more to deal with in terms of food safety violations if he can’t manage his produce team and his own associate director, Charlie, who informed me and I quote “we’re not sure how long the boxes of produce sit on a truck or in a warehouse before we get them”…. Um… probably not something you’d like to advertise but I’m glad he did!
Every single time you buy produce, ESPECIALLY anything in a container ie blueberries, blackberries, strawberries etc, they will show mold within 24 -48 hours without fail. Everytime. And this means that the mold is already starting within the produce, but cannot be seen yet. This is worrisome, dangerous and beyond concerning.
But don’t worry, you’ll call Rory to let him know this and he’ll tell ya that you’ll get a call back from his boss, which will never come.
Done with this Meijer. Shop local. Shop somewhere who doesn’t support AIPAC funding and shop small, where I promise they care a lot more than Rory. Shame on this Meijer. Profit over people will not keep you in business long. I’m sure you know how boycotts work. And boy...
Read moreYou would think I would learn my lesson after the many times I've gotten the abysmal attitude from management as well as staff. Now I am disabled I use an electric cart however my money is as good as anybody's but the Oxford Meijer doesn't care one bit about handicapped people they never have any charged electric carts if you ask somebody to find you one they look at you like you just swore at them and walk away and don't do it on a rare occasion I will see employee pull a cart into the charging area they don't plug it in unless it's beeping as they walk away. I watched three of your employees in an assistant manager stand around and scratch their heads because one of the electric cars was beeping and they couldn't get it to stop beeping not one of them thought that it needed to be plugged in and charged they all eventually walked away from it with it just beeping away guess it's somebody else's problem I wish that this was just one example that rarely happens but if I go to Meijer 10 times excuse me Oxford Meijer 8 of those times I have extreme difficulties so don't worry about it anymore because I won't be back y'all go do what you want to do when you want to do it how you want to do it and you can go to help while you're at it...
Read moreStill a good place to shop. Nit impressed with the rather forced self checkout routine. Trying to scan a large item is impossible so you have to have a person bring a hand scanner over, something that should be available at each self register to begin with especially since it would help for the whole cart. It's bad enough you pretty much have to check yourself out but why make it worse than it should be? So many "sale" items, some which are the standard price but preparing for increased price. Some items really are a sale though. Trying to use my Mperks card was aggrivating. Wouldn't take the PIN that I've used for years. The person that came over said "you've used the PIN too many attempts so it's locked out, oh well". Oh well doesn't give me the better price on many of the items so not acceptable. I had to press the issue and get a person with knowledge to come over. She handled it well. It was an equipment issue. On the other hand, staffing is a challenge di I am giving credit to the store for that. Still recommend, especially since they are the only...
